I won’t either. I can deal with it being a matter of “when” I’ll get them. It’s the matter “if” I’ll get them that is causing my consternation. Again, I understand the merchant’ challenges, I’m just expressing one customer’s anxiety.

Admittedly, my orders are not the most important thing in the world.

Entirely fair no. Mostly fair yes. Your order isn't less important, but it;s not more important either. The first person to lay their money on the table out a going out of business sale usually gets first pick. If that happens to be the other business across the street that wants the bulk of the inventory then that's the way the estate sale goes.

If the customer with the wad of cash shows up 12 hrs late, throws the money down and all the little buyers ahead of him get their 'new' merchandise repossessed then that's an entirely different issue.

I hope he doesn't take offence, i'm just conversing

Question: does SAE send out confirmation emails when an order is placed? I placed three orders and I only received it once, only when they shipped my order.
You'd have to say something offensive for me to take offense -- having a different opinion or take on the matter isn't.

Usually I get confirmation email and dispatch emails, but neither is 100% especially during big sales. Usually if my order is registered in my account it's safe to assume it went through.

This is always the best part of any sale...all the whinging and moaning about their orders not being shipped according to their timetable (immediately).

It's also right on the front page of their site stating that thanks to the amazing response they are experiencing lengthy shipping delays. I don't see why some are so surprised at the delay. They've been upfront that it could take a while to get packages out.

55 years ago I asked my mother for a baby brother or sister. I never got one! All around me other kids had baby siblings and I had none!

Should I be an adult now and accept the fact that the world does not revolve around me and I can’t always get what I want? Or should I throw a tantrum and file a grievance against my 90 year old parents? Recent posts in this thread have convinced me: I’m calling a lawyer right now.

We interrupt these bitca-slapping fights for this important announcement:

Looks like Boxcar Bertha is now sold out at SAE.

Thank you. You may continue on...

Watched "Flaming Star" yesterday -- the first Elvis movie I've ever seen! I'm surprised by how much I enjoyed it (Don Siegel directing helps), and I never would have even known it existed if not for Twilight Time. Here are some other favorites TT brought into my life:
Judgment At Nuremberg
Breaking Away
To Sir, With Love
Man In The Dark 3-D
Inferno 3D
Devil In A Blue Dress
Born Yesterday
The Fortune Cookie
The Seven-Ups
Next Stop, Greenwich Village
Where The Sidewalk Ends
No Down Payment
Rapid Fire
Will Success Spoil Rock Hunter?
The Hot Rock
In The French Style
Born Free

Watched my copy of The Bravados that I got from SAE the other day, and it's a great film. If anyone here is a western fan they should check it out.

I was very surprised by it too. Definitely not your typical Elvis film, he actually plays a character in it and I did not expect
[Show spoiler]that Shane-esque
ending.

I enjoy that film for Dolores Del Rio, someone I really admired when I saw her on the big screen in "In Caliente", a Warner Bros. musical from the early 30s. She was so beautiful and had such "presence". It was really on display in her last movie (I believe) "More than a Miracle" with Sophia Loren and Omar Sharif. Its not a great movie but Dolores Del Rio redeems it by just being present in it. She was also the cousin of Ramon Novarro.
