Probably only a couple of thousand copies left. I wouldn't sweat it.

Horror titles sell quickly...weeks, days, even hours.

Everything else? Not so much.

I have never purchased anything from twilight time and so I don't know how fast do they generally hit the 3,000 copy's limit ??
Just to give you an idea, I purchased Pal Joey about 3 weeks ago and it was originally released in February 2012.

Hear, hear! My five-year-old girl likes dancing so the other day I put on Easter Parade for her. I had to skip through all the talking parts (hey, she's five) but she enjoyed the music, so I consider that a small triumph to get the love of classic movies ingrained in her early!

I know the cart game isn't always accurate, but for those that are keeping track of it, it shows The Egyptian being down to 14 copies...

In other news, Sony's technical services and mastering department have informed us that the stunning new transfer of Brian De Palma's BODY DOUBLE (1984) has been completed, and has been personally supervised by veteran cinematographer Stephen H. Burum. However, Mr Burum has apparently revisited the color timing of certain scenes, so sections of the film may look different to previous homme-video incarnations. We don't have any more details and have not yet seen the finished product, but as we promised you after NOTLD90, if we got word that changes had been made to a film's look, we would pass it along. We will remind fans again of this before pre-orders go up.

Revised schedule is as follows:

PHILADELPHIA (1993) BLU-RAY - May 14th
LEAVE HER TO HEAVEN (1945) BLU-RAY - May 14th
HARD TIMES (1975) BLU-RAY - June 11th
THE ONLY GAME IN TOWN (1970) BLU-RAY - June 11th
SLEEPLESS IN SEATTLE (1993) BLU-RAY - July 9th
LOVE IS A MANY-SPLENDORED THING (1955) BLU-RAY - July 9th
THE DRIVER (1978) BLU-RAY - July 23rd
BODY DOUBLE (1984) BLU-RAY - Aug 13th
SEXY BEAST (2000) BLU-RAY - Aug 13th
THE DISAPPEARANCE (1977) BLU-RAY - Aug 13th

Forgive me, but I thought much of the appeal of Body Double was in its femme-video incarnations.

Hopefully TT will provide a little bit more detailed explanation before this goes up for pre-order.

Well TT keep to their word and are giving customers a heads up in advance; that's all you can ask of them. Gotta give them kudos for that. Sony and Mr. Burum are responsible for any color timing changes so that lies solely with them.

EDIT: Anyone else notice with the last round of preorders that the SAE email went out right around the time the new TT titles went up for preorder? I received the email 8 minutes after the preorders went live. Gotta give SAE kudos for getting the emails out early as well.

Hope De Palma has some input on how the film looks.

I think they mean because Body Double doesn't exactly pass the Bechdel test.

Outside of the usual people that like to ***** about Twilight Time for the sake of *****ing about Twilight Time, there shouldn't be any this time around. They're keeping their word about finding out this info ahead of time and relaying it to the customers in advance before pre-orders go up.

Now if the customers don't like the color timing, that's fine, but they can't say they weren't warned in advance...

Alright, I haven't seen Rapture before except for a bits and pieces of it on YouTube. From what I seen so far it has me intrigued so I think I'm going to bite on this one. Does any one else have any other suggestions on other TT titles to consider, which I don't already have in my collection, before I order?

EDIT: To make it easier these are the titles I already own or have on order.

[Show spoiler]As Good As It Gets

Christine
The Egyptian
Enemy Mine
Experiment in Terror
Fright Night
The Fury
In Like Flint
Journey to the Center of the Earth

Easy, peasy...'Renoir in America', aka Swamp Water.

Coincidentally, I just finished rewatching Désirée tonight. I've listened to North's beautiful score isolated a couple of times, just pumping the sound into the next room without actually watching it. But for some reason, I was in the mood to see this movie again in its entirety. As ever, Brando was mesmerizing as Napoleon, but it's really Simmons' show as the titular character...she carries the thing heart, mind, and soul. Probably not for everyone, but I have a continuing shine for it.

Or for pure 70mm "don't-make-'em-like-that-anymore" fun, Those Magnificent Men in Their Flying Machines.

Swamp Water would be a great film to order with Rapture. Also, I don't know if you have any interest in it as a film, but the Blue Lagoon transfer is absolutely stunning if you do.
