It, frankly, ticks me off that so many people don't seem to have a problem with $3.99 one-day rentals for streaming a movie, when - at my local video store - it is still only $2.50 to rent a new release. Four dollars for a single rental when a month of Netflix is just barely twice that? When a theater ticket is maybe three times that (where the studios and distributors actually have some expenses to incur)? It is outrageous. Do you have to 're-pay' to read a book a second or third time? Other intellectual property is governed by different rules than what the movie studios want for themselves. It is nothing but greed. Ringing is the same thing as edge enhancement. It's a halo around objects that gives the image an over sharpened video look. Just look at the screenshots from the review. There is a strong halo around the hats the guys are wearing. You may not have noticed on your flat panel tv but when viewed on an 8 ft wide scope projection setup from 1x screen width. it's going to be very noticeable. Most reviewers use flat panels that don't really translate to what the image looks like on a projector.

https://www.blu-ray.com/movies/scree...630&position=3 The rest of the film looks perfect. If it really bothers you, watch the theatrical version which has fewer and shorter dupe moments. |

Only if they are FAT32 formatted. A format like exFAT or NTFS won't have that limit on a storage device. Most Flash Drives are preformatted for FAT32 so you have to reformat them.

![]() It only bothers me when it is edge enhancement. So may catalog titles have EE so I was concerned paying $35+ for an over sharpened image. I will now gladly place my order. Tom Last edited by Tom Monahan; 09-08-2013 at 09:43 PM. |

Major Dundee looks great, and preaty natural (film) looking for the most part. If you are a fan you should get it. I understand the reservations though because I had the same ones before deciding to get it, but there's nothing to worry about.
