Yeah, was finally able to login and even my order confirmation on the website said the same thing.

I sent them an email to hopefully straighten it out.

explain to me how your complaints are "justified."

try to buy Cavalier playoff tickets when they go on sale and see what happens. try to buy tickets for a popular concert the minute they go on sale and see what happens.

"popular title" is one thing, but an extremely limited quantity of a signed edition of the MOST popular title will bring "site problems." you lost out. you're not the only one.

Since they've added capacity, they will be gone within a millisecond.

I'm no stranger to long loading times and missing out on something popular. What I do have an issue with, and I have never seen before, is missing out on a product after I was able to add it to my cart.

Probably not the best title to offer as a freebie, given the server limitations at SAE. Don't mind losing out, as that's happened several times already. But to spend so much time on it, waiting and waiting for pages to load, was a little frustrating. I almost got it, maybe a minute late, but I made one mistake too many as new logins were required, other clicks I shouldn't have made, etc.

I said earlier that losing out on a copy is not what made Me angry, it's that I had already had everything in My Cart...clicked Checkout...Server went down...then made Me Login 'AGAIN' and could not get back in till it was too late, something that should have taken seconds. I couldn't understand why I wasn't able to continue with My Checkout, Instead of starting all over, If that's not a justified complaint I'm sure as heck not going to waste My time explaining it to You further. Also they add Capacity after they are having problems? S.A.E should have had that in place earlier.

Again, I don't mind losing out to others...the Sun will rise the next day, etc. but S.A.E. has to get their act together. That's my point simple and "JUSTIFIED"

I got it to my cart but it was gone at confirm order. No biggie.

You know, I like Fright Night, but the frenzy over this one title is insane. Sold out twice, crashed servers for a signed copy. It's like the only thing driving the frenzy, is the frenzy.

I don't think it's a particularly great movie. I just wanted it to sell to help cover the cost of the titles that I actually want. It's hard to justify spending money on TT releases when there are still other releases I want that are much cheaper. TT releases only take priority because 1) the fear of missing out and 2) I know that the prices are set in stone, whereas with other titles I'm often holding out because I know the price will drop at some indefinite point in the future.

On the other hand, that's what...100 copies (assumed) times 150 bucks...so $15,000 in revenue in 30 or so minutes.

That's why they offered it as a freebie.

And that isn't including those that ordered more than the min, the extra purchases that people won't cancel that didn't score a copy etc. There is always a method to the madness in these things....

Sure, thousands upon thousands upon thousands of hits can bring even the best of server setups to its knees but is it really all that unreasonable to expect an online merchant to be able to weather several hundred or even few thousand hits at once?

One also has to wonder why they moved to scale their server capability after 'an extremely limited quantity of a signed edition of the MOST popular title' went up for grabs. Did they really not see the increased traffic coming?

And on the other hand, any signed copy will bring in the extra revenue.

This is good news as the labels need the revenue to keep releasing movies...obviously . TT does offer good promotions imo. More war movies please.

Question

BLU TITAN:

What war movies would you like to see released by TT?

The Dessert Fox is a Fox title ..I am hoping they can license that one. From MGM:
The Devils brigade, The Bridge at Remagen, Beach Red, Beachhead, Mosquito Squadron and many more.

It was easier losing out on the Dead tickets than getting the signed copy.
1 for 2 isn't too bad, although I would certainly trade my upcoming signed copy for some Dead tickets.. Any takers....

People think $300 for Fright Night or the OOP Criterion The Third Man is insane: some of these tickets are supposedly going for 15k...and that was a week or so ago...who knows what the top is now.

Hell, some Cubs playoff tickets sold for over 30k.

The freaking Cubs and the Dead...I can't even put into words how little sense that makes to me

Yeah, the 3 day passes are outrageous now, but prices will come down. I will tell you something though, if you know someone who has Bears season tickets and owns the seat license, they get 1st crack at the seats. I have a few possibilities on the season ticket angle, but sometimes favors come back to haunt you. Hopefully the Hawks make it deep in the playoffs, then I might have some leverage..

By the way, who are the Cubs

I have no problem with TT in any way. I do have a problem with greedy people buying up copies to collect dust hoping for a big pay day. I mean sell precious metals, stocks or something. Leave blu-rays alone.
