The music score here alone is worth the price of admission

Just wish the Bluray hadn't had that glitch in the audio.
Soundtrack labels have issued replacements for such kind of minor glitches..

No, it's in the film audio track.

They're probably thinking that there's no point in doing one now, and then doing another one in 10 days.

I suspect that if anything that wasn't already on the February LQA dropped down close to 500, they'd've mentioned it before the sale started. And if any given title isn't down close to 500, they're probably safe through the duration of the sale. The ones to focus on are the titles mentioned in the Feb LQA.

This can be tricky. Obviously, reporting low numbers can drive a lot of sales but also uncertainty can drive sales as well. I bet it's frustrating to TT that a lot of people wait for a low quantity announcement to make a purchase but that's a hazard of the business model.

My memory may not be all there but I do remember a lot of grainy scenes in Audrey Rose when I saw it at the Lynbrook theatre on Long Island. I saw it twice on a huge screen and remember certain scenes having grain issues. Mostly dark scenes and some in the apartment. I don't remember what the saturation levels were or if there was a shift in color compared to the Blu Ray. I'd say the DVD had a better representation color wise.

I just recently realized that Flaming Star is a Don Siegel movie, so that kicked it up to high priority.
Love is a Many Splendored Thing is an excellent movie. William Holden and Jennifer Jones make it a classic for the ages. I really hope Warner Archive (via Paramount) gives us a Blu-ray of The World of Suzie Wong soon, which stars Holden and the wonderful Nancy Kwan. Too bad TT doesn't have this one....WAC release it on DVD-only in 2013.

This is fine, donidarko

But grain and noise are not the same thing. There is nothing wrong with a little bit of grain overexposure/underexposure. This is natural as light, for instance, can be captured in a variety of different ways.

On the current transfer everything is covered by a thick layer of noise, which is why definition and depth are so problematic. The film should have an entirely different appearance on Blu-ray

As noted, it's expensive to order one disc but the additional shipping cost for more discs is very small. It's worth your while to order a few discs at a time.

BTW, I remember the buck at about 66 cents US (about 30 years ago). So our "pathetically weak" 80 cent Us dollar today is all relative.
Thanks, that makes cents. Just ordered April Love pre-order, Love Is A Many-Splendored Thing, Funny Lady and The Eddie Duchin Story. This averages about thirty-one 75 cent cdn dollars. (shipped) per disc so I'm very happy

would anyone recommedn The Wayward Bus or The Roots of Heaven? I have most the titles from the sale and never really considered these two but they are tempting.
