Anybody hear anything about TT doing another run of Mysterious Island or the two Sinbad titles like they did recently with Journey to the Center of the Earth? I'd love to own these in HD but I didn't even know they existed until after they were long sold out

I don't know the start dates for the contracts for Golden Voyage or Eye of the Tiger, but they are both probably tied up for at least another year, since they just came out a year and a half ago. |

Twilight Time hasn't said what the other re-release will be. Mysterious Island is the current front-runner in terms of what people think the other re-release will be. I'd say that it's the most likely, with only The Big Heat giving it any real competition. Night of the Living Dead would be another possibility, but given the brouhaha over the first release, I don't imagine it'll be re-released unless TT can be guaranteed a trouble-free master. A lot of folks believe (not unreasonably) that a re-release won't happen until the 3-year window for the intitial release is up. This was the case for Fright Night, and almost the case for Journey (the re-release came out two months ahead of the end of the 3-year window). The 3-year windows on Mysterious Island and The Big Heat have expired (well, in the latter case, it'll expire by the end of this week). The 3-year window for the two Sinbad titles won't be up until December 2016, so those titles are not likely to be in the queue for re-release. Another factor for re-release is probably the time it took to sell out. Mysterious Island took 8 months to sell out, The Big Heat took 13 months. |

Royal Flash, my biggest TT disappointment. I expected something silly but entertaining. However, I found this film just too dull to endure. The PQ is average imo, the master used is a dated one for sure. After many great TT blind buys...Royal Flash failed for me.
I still need to watch Leave Her to Heaven, Brannigan, Bandit Queen and Jane Eyre ![]() |

Watched "Born Yesterday" and was greatly amused. It's occasionally a bit groan-worthy in its incredible optimism about the future of politics (those few corrupt politicians are on their way out because people are getting smarter!!!1), but it's mostly really a good-hearted comedy with a great lead performance. Judy Holliday is both hilarious in the early scenes and extraordinarily likable throughout, and seeing this so soon after watching the vile "Funny Face" was a great breath of fresh air that no, just because a romantic comedy was made in the 1950s doesn't mean it has to have deeply offensive sexism as the core of its plot. :P Great blind buy, definitely one of my favorites I've seen yet from this label.

The Fury seems like an unlikely candidate cause that was one of the ones that got some flack for looking crummy next to most of the rest of their catalog, much like NOTLD90, which I believe they said they weren't touching again just cause of all the crap they had to put up with from customer reactions. On top of this, Arrow released a new transfer of it which is absolutely gorgeous and stomps all over the TT version. If they could license the Arrow transfer or something I could see it being worth it, but I don't think the feasibility of that is very high!
Body Double on the other hand seems like it wouldn't be a bad candidate in a year or whenever the three year window is up. |

Were The Big Heat and Mysterious Island released at the same time? I think a lot of people weren't aware they were available and missed out. So far with the re-releases they have had a 5,000 count. Whichever of these titles can move 5,000 I'd guess would be the logical choice. My vote is for Mysterious Island. There's never too much Harryhausen.
