Germany deserved to be out of the World Cup. They played so bad against Mexico and Today against Korea. Allmost the whole team should be punished for how they played

I didn't say anything about arguing over the rules, it just always tickled me to see a kid from Tooting (and who's a bit of a Palace legend) play in the emerald green. Palace also had Ray Houghton, Terry Phelan and Stevie Staunton play for us at various times while I was watching them, I'll always have a soft spot for those lads and as for N. Ireland it's a damned shame they didn't make it to Russia after such a terrific qualifying campaign (Michael Hughes is long retired but he was another who gave his all in the red and blue). But now that's everyone's been offended by everyone else despite no-one seemingly intending to cause offence can we start over?

Even I've got to admit that Pearce's commentary on the German game couldn't have been more biased if he had a bulldog by his side and was wearing a suit emblazoned with the flag of St. George

Still, my pulse is pounding after that finish. Football eh? Bloody hell.

Imagine if that was England being dumped out, having had their worst ever showing at a World Cup group stage, I suppose you'd react with magnanimity and sensitivity at this difficult time for your southern neighbours. I know you didn’t,I brought up the rules as they are what they are,you didn’t answer my John Barnes question but that’s OK.
