We all like an underdog story but when you play like that for two hours I’m afraid football is the loser.

Another one bites the dust....it’s certainly an open contest.

Well done to Russia, I love when the underdogs win, especially because the US Fox crew end up scrambling to keep Americans interested when a major team is out. If Mexico lose tomorrow (albeit to Brazil), Fox are going to be pissed as hell. If England are out, I would almost want a Croatia-Japan or Russia-Japan final, just to see what they try to make of it.

Uhh....that’s a given but on a football note and a worldwide audience side of things where people are actually tuning in to see quality footballers then that would be a shit WC final.

I don't really care about football unless one of the three countries I care about is in it so I'd be fine with a less popular country winning it all.

I guess the time difference is an issue with a big audience over there.
I watch some MLS games and the standard has improved greatly over the years.
I must say I was disappointed when the U.S. never qualified for this W.C. as that can only be a good thing for the game in your country.

Some great crowds at soccer games with Atlanta having massive turn outs.

Awful game for the neutral. I can't believe i made it from start to finish. The most exciting part for me was the rain. But that's because I live in Manchester and i'm not use to all this sunshine.
