did check it BEFORE I ASKED, and no mention to the video specs on US version / bit-rate and 24 bit audio is just crappy since it was not recorded that way natively.

It's not, the other poster noted that the UK version has additional extras and thus the movie should still be listed.

Anyone want to list the most notable, in-print German BDs from this list that are better than their domestic counterpart? The Euro's value is cratering at the moment and now is the time to import German Blu-rays.

Three off the top of my head are:

Lord of War
A Beautiful Mind
The Book of Eli

Open Range, For a Few Dollars More, and Small Soldiers might be worth looking in to as well. I need to make a purchase for several imports as well while the euro is low. You should be able to get some decent deals from Amazon.fr as well as Amazon.de

Perhaps he was going off of what I said, as I was the one who said it can be removed. The UK disc was only added to the list to begin with, because it was thought to be from a new master (which is why I bought it), this isn't the case. Did you not see my post about this, and where I also mentioned from my few minutes of viewing (I only put the disc on quickly to check if it was actually sourced from a new master) that I noticed the contrast was boosted on the UK disc? Based on what I saw the U.S disc is better than the UK disc. This is the best info provided on the UK disc to date, so until further assessment is done by me or someone else who owns the UK disc, that's going to be the determination that is made.

Edit: The UK disc does have more extras, but it is missing the theatrical trailer. It also has a LPCM 2.0 16 bit track on the disc.

The movie being removed from the list implies that no foreign release is better than the US version, which contradicts the fact that the UK version has more extras. I'm not sure where the ambiguity in my original post comes from, but that could just be because I wrote it hehe.

It's on the list just because the U.K. release has more extras. That's it. End of story.
