You know as well as I do that it's virtually impossible to find a good price on JP discs. I have gotten lucky with certain titles though like The Green Mile and Groundhog Day.

Yeah same here with xXx and see book of eli isn't that bad. But everything is bad compared to the usual $7-12....

I got The Green Mile and Groundhog Day for about $15 shipped. Then I paid $45 for Equilibrium.

I have not looked at the DE Brannigan release in motion, just the caps at caps-a-holic, but to me it looks like a sharpening filter was applied to the same master that TT used. There are sharpening artifacts all over if you look closely.

The compression is much better though. Just look at the grain. Colors also appear less washed out.

With regionfree UHD I hope Japan see they can't continue to charge premium prices on everything especially blu-ray. But they pay premium deluxe for cds still so....

Swamp Thing, Media book from NSM (Austia) is uncut. Can't post specs as my bd drive died. Good transfer, some image wobble once and a while. Accurate subs, English HD audio. 1.85 ratio. Language options on my oppo show German and French. French plays in English. 3 sub options, German, german (nothing showed up for 20 minutes so I switched) and a 3rd unspecified sub, English. Region B.

The Fountain, French TFI release is forced French subs. MPEG 4, lossless audio made me jump for 7$ but even lowering the subs -10 they still show up in the image.

New US version makes it the best overall for PQ and AQ in my opinion but the missing song might be interesting for purists so maybe keep it on the list?
