I might upgrade 'The Prestige' to the US disc if the PQ is much better (I have the UK one).

I believe it's only available in the box set. I am waiting on an individual release since I have the older Sony disc and other two from TT.

Nice, some look great (deer hunter!) but not sure all is good though, some seem pumped up contrast with added noise.

i've them all but i didn't take the caps, another italian forumer did. i can't make caps myself unfortunately, my bd-rom is broken at the moment. as for reddish faces i noticed too but after discussing it on italian forum we got to conclusion that could be an issue of how caps are taken (with capture screen on VLC)... indeed i tried Lock Up on my system and gamma is surely tweaked but there's no magenta/red push. i could give more info tomorrow anyway...

VLC uses wrong matrix for RGB conversion, therefore it can never make screenshots with accurate colors. I use MPC-HC with madVR renderer to take accurate screenshots.

I always wondered why VLC screen captures looked off for color. I have always used PowerDVD though.

not every new release is better than previous ones... for example Prince of Darkness is reported as a bad upscaled dvd.
but some others are way better, Irreversible for example is reported as a brand new HD master!

Yep seems like CA. So different to US but my guess is other company behind CA disc.
