I think the inferior Kidnapped cut is almost an identical transfer on both releases so caps won't show anything.
The Region B wins because: a) It includes both cuts, including the preferred one; b) The original soundtrack (Region A doesn't have it); and c) Far more extras So caps don't demonstrate the difference. The Region A just has a far worse cut of the film, with a worse soundtrack. Therefore the international release is better for including both and should be listed. |

Yep, there's just no clear winner for PQ. I still prefer the Arrow disc though because of the original audio.

Yeah, I've been bouncing back and forth since yesterday on it, but I'm going to add Best PQ to both.

The Sony 2-Disc releases of Iron Man from Japan and Spain have more extras compared to the Paramount 2-Disc release.
They port over everything from the Par disc and also include the 2006 and 2007 Comic-Con panels. Iron Man US - AVC 27127 kbps, Dolby TrueHD 5.1 4133 kbps 24-bit, English subs, extras (Region free) ES/JP - AVC 25874 kbps, Dolby TrueHD 5.1 3602 kbps 24-bit, English subs, more extras (Region B locked - ES, Region free - JP) As far as picture quality goes, they look pretty much the same, but you can see comparisons here, as someone already did them. I didn't post the stats on the German Concorde release since I don't have them, but I know for a fact that it doesn't include the Comic-Con panels. They're not included on the French M6 release either. Last edited by Hedrox; 02-21-2021 at 11:45 AM. |
