Does this release has the same Criterion restoration or it has same 2011 Universal transfer, just is different the cover? Because I have pros and cons for each release. First the Criterion Blu-ray has new 4K restoration and a booklet but the atrwork isn't the best I've seen. The Universal Blu-ray it has the original poster artwork which is amazing and the video is decent. The Arrow Video Blu-ray you recommended I didn't liked so much the newly artwork. So I'm between Criterion and Universal. Thank you.

Same source, but the Arrow transfer has better encoding and compression.

Arrow has higher bitrate and proper aspect ratio, but seems to be OOP.

What about the audio? Which 2.0 tracks are better? The US MGM on DTS-HD MA or UK Arrow Video on LPCM?

Bitrate doesn't necessarily mean better - it's the compression.

Aspect ratio - 1.78 shows literally a sliver more at the top and bottom. Nothing is cropped off. It's OAR as far as I'm concerned - composition is unaffected.

Really? interesting. I'm seeing contrastboosting and a lot of DNR. Check windows on first and missing snow on second pic. Also the US has more picture.

But the others is harder and I tend to like some of the warmer arrow and less blue snow in some shots.

Audio is 24-bit on US also if that tip any scales

The thread i was mainly referring to was one where the other country has the movie but we have no USA release. Is there a thread dedicated to those movies as well? Anyways, looking forward to checking out more of this thread to ensure I get the best possible release!
