Not sure on that one. I can tell you that DE disc is definitely superior as I own and have watched it a few times. It has much better compression that the Criterion disc although I own it as well since it has many more extras.

Well I know that the German release has a bunch of extras & is on a BD-50, compared to the US release is on a BD-25 with hardly any extras.
