US - AVC 24.89 Mbps, DTS-HD MA 5.1 2187 kbps 48kHz, 16-bit, English subs, less extras (Region free)
JP - AVC 25.00 Mbps, DTS-HD MA 5.1 4723 kbps 96kHz, 24-bit, no English subs, more extras (Region free)

It seems that the only discs not authored by Sony are in France from TF1 (Blu-ray review here, for example), Hong Kong from CN Entertainment (which I touched on in part here, but haven't seen), and this Japanese edition from GAGA. More info on the Japanese edition, as well as the BDInfo scan, is here.

I think Japan has a winner, here.

I was told all of those upsampled 96khz Blu rays are only 16 bit. Do you have BDInfo to confirm Whiplash is 24 bit??

They are all well done IMO. The Fifth Element is limited by the source, but is still the best release to date.

From the reviews on Amazon.es that release is just another Spanish BD-R bootleg. If I had to guess I would assume that it is a direct port of the US Kino release with the Spanish dub from another source tacked on.

I can confirm that the Dutch (NL) release of Jarhead also has the complete set of extras and is region free.

The Dutch release of Horns has 66 minutes of behind-the-scenes, but no making of featurette.
