Question

Does anyone know if Hunted (no US release), the Melissa George one-season TV series, is region B locked or not? The site says, for both the UK and DE, “Region B (A, C untested)”. Both Amazons say B:

https://www.amazon.co.uk/Hunted-1-Bl...melissa+george

https://www.amazon.de/Hunted-Vertrau...eywords=hunted

They both say B and are from eOne who definitely region locks so I'd guess they are locked.

There is two different Australian releases of The Dead Zone:

The first release was the one on your list prior to you updating it today, it has a higher video bitrate than the second release but has no special features (other than a trailer from memory), unlike the second release which includes some extras:

https://forum.blu-ray.com/showpost.p...3&postcount=68

I can see that you have removed it and put the second version in it's place, when instead both versions should really be on the list.

Edit: Your listing is actually now incorrect as well, because the video bitrate reflects the second release, but the audio track (the first release has a Dolby True HD track, whereas the second has a DTS-HD MA track) and bitrate reflect the first release.

Last edited by Cevolution; 01-09-2017 at 01:56 AM. Reason: Noticed I had typed 'that' instead of 'than' in the second sentence.

I got the JP set in the mail today. The movie blu-ray disc may be region free but the two DVDs that house the extras are region 2 locked. The audio commentaries are missing too. Looks like I'm still keeping the current blu and the old 3 disc DVD set.

What?!!! I can't watch the DVD extras? WTF!

So much for the happier, more positive post I'd just composed:

Wow! I don’t know what they’re putting in the sake over there but Amazon Japan is rockin’! I ordered on January 6th and the order arrived this morning! Not only that, but it was packed the way (but even better than) Amazon used to pack stuff : BDs banded together on a cardboard pallet which was then shrink-wrapped and form-fitted into a box. Nothing could move or get banged around. Amazon US wouldn’t even have shipped yet, unless maybe if I paid the Prime ransom.
By contrast, my Amazon.de order also arrived today - after being ordered 13 days earlier than the Japan order. Throw in the two orders from eBay which also arrived today and I’m once again buried under a mound of unwatched BDs.

... ...

Edit : I emailed Amz.jp : Why would a Japanese Product contain Region B anything when both Japan and the US are Region A?

I'm interested in their response because that is messed up. They are Region 1 for dvd just like the U.S. so the DVDs should be Region 1 instead of 2.

Ummm, no, DVDs issued in Japan have always been region 2. They are NTSC just as North America but their region coding have always been region code 2. With the advent of BD and lesser regions their BDs are region A but DVDs remain region 2.

For some reason I thought Japan was in Region 1 for DVD. I never bought a JP DVD so I never realized that.

Ah, they've had some nice releases over the years. Picked up their releases of Gunmen (C. Lambert, M. Van Peebles) and True Lies to name a few.

I probably need to put the BD/DVD Region map in the OP as well.
