Are you just going off the database entry? I highly doubt it's accurate. The member that submitted the spec entered it several weeks before the title was released. At the time, it was assumed by some members that the titles changing hands from Warner to Fox which had VC-1 encodes, would receive new updated AVC encodes, because Fox aren't known to do VC-1 encodes.

Anyone hear anything about a US release of the "Amazon Exclusive" Extended Black Hawk Down - currently only available via JP import? I've yet to pop the cork on mine. I've been torn between watching it and selling it ever since I found out that the extras were all region B.

Why don't you send one of the hundreds of members that are listed as owning it a PM to ask them. I had a quick glance over the list of members that have it in their collections, and recognised 4-5 regulars that post here.

I saw where he died and I hate that. The UK disc is indeed missing the time stamps/locations and deleted scenes, but the PQ is noticeably better than the US disc. I have both discs in a 2 disc case. |

Just saw the page for the new Best Buy SB of Resident Evil: Apocalypse, may have to update the list. No review but it’s AVC on a BD-50 disc - as opposed to all the other US releases being MPEG-2/BD-25. Anybody know anything? I was just about to order the JP disc …

Just off the page entry (why I included the picture link). I'll go down to BB tomorrow and see what the case says (no back pic onsite). I scanned the thread, didn't see any complaints, and posted asking for confirmation. Fingers crossed but ... why I said "may" ...
![]() I noted that Cevolution mentioned accessing a list of folks who own specific BDs - where do you find those lists? ![]() |

I wouldn't mind adding more information to titles if they don't have it. I have an ASUS BD burner drive on my self-built computer along with BDInfo. If there're any titles in my collection which don't have any bitrate or accurate specifications, just let me know. Also EXACT disc sizes too since I always take screenshots of the disc in the BD-RE drive (G is the main one, H is DVD-RW, and I-L are virtual BD drives.)
Except I do wish we can mention if a three disc set, maybe we already do, has 1 BD50 and 2 BD25 or however configuration some companies use. Some titles I updated because of hard evidence. We do need exact disc sizes, i.e. if a title is 44.4GB compared to another release which is 24.7GB or even 16.4GB. BD25s are exactly 23.3GB.) Especially from my FilmAF.com collection. Just let me know! |

Received my AU copy of The Beastmaster today and it only took a week and a half to arrive. It looks decent, but it's nothing to write home about. There's quite a lot of print damage in the form of dark gray and brown vertical lines. Still, $16 for one of my '80s favorites is not bad. Besides, this will probably never see a US release.
