Would you be prepared to put the new De Koch Media Hostage release on the list? Mentioned it a while back but there are still no US screenshots to compare it to and as the US release is an old Lionsgate jobbie I doubt it would be better.

I'm not saying it isn't but IT IS Lionsgate and the new German release is a 4K remaster. As HD says we really need to see screenshots to be able to confirm

Shout is known for their own special dnr souce Not much but more often there.

I prefer the new german 4K version but on the other versions it really doesn't matter much. (ps always use PNG as source when you are comparing on caps, jpeg is more lossy)

I've always used JPEG when copying pix, always thought it was the best and PNG was ... not as good (w/o really closely comparing ). Are you saying that PNG is always better than JPEG or is this something specific to comparing caps?

No the German US version suffers from the old noisy oversharped print. It's the same as the old screwhead version.

But one small note another reason to pick the international cut over the US cuts is because the International cut is zoomed out a little more showing more image. German International beats all on picture quality.
