It is better, I have the UK release and from what I hear it is pretty much the same as the German disc quality wise. Either way thought you aren't getting a beautiful disc. The main reason not get the US disc is the audio errors.

Yep, better compression than the UK disc.

Lion (2016):

CZ - AVC 20858 kbps, English DTS-HD MA 5.1 3599 kbps 48 kHz 24-bit

Both FR and CZ have darker image. US has brighter image. I don't know which one is good.

The Australian cheapo copy of Flesh for Frankenstein is on the front page when it looks absolutely appalling??? Check caps-a-holic for a comparison with the Japanese Blu-ray which is unfortunately the only (very highly-priced) alternative.

The JP disc is not on caps-a-holic or I would have added it already.
