Hey Goofnut. Someone else confirmed my glitch issue I posted a little while back about the Twilight Time release for Runaway Train. It was posted last night on the Runaway Train Twilight Time thread and in a little more detail as they discovered more issues about it than I did. Just wanted to give you a heads up on that.

What's with The Rundown? The FR/DE/NL versions aren't looking better with AVC? And the US version isn't kicking AQ ass with 4268 kbps 24-bit vs. a paltry 1643 kbps 16-bit? I've got the US & every time I consider the DE for AVC, that AQ number makes me flinch. Anyone who own/viewed both, have any input?
![]() Rundown, The US - VC-1 17015 kbps, DTS-HD MA 5.1 4268 kbps 24-bit, uncut @ 104 min, extras, English subs (Region free) FR/DE/NL - AVC 26891 kbps, Dolby TrueHD 5.1 1643 kbps 16-bit, uncut @ 104 min, English subs (Region free) |

The DE release has slightly better compression, but I doubt you'd even see it in motion. |

Regarding The Big Blue (Le Grand Bleu)
http://dvdcompare.net/comparisons/film.php?fid=17468#6 The Australian and UK (re-release) editions have English soundtracks, two versions of the movie and a documentary. Note that the Australian disc has a Dolby Digital 5.1 soundtrack on the Director's cut, while UK has PCM 2.0. GENERAL NOTES: *Although "The Big Blue" is a French-produced film, the film is predominantly spoken in English. French, German, Scandinavian and UK (Original) editions hereabove feature only French soundtracks in which all English dialogue has been dubbed, and thus should be avoided. *The following versions of the movie are known: – The original French theatrical version running ~132 min, – The original European theatrical version running ~120 min, – The original US theatrical version running ~118 min, – The Director's cut running ~168 min Update the entry please since it's very misleading. |

Received my NO/SE/FI/HK/BR/DK release of Mission: Impossible III, I tested all 3 regions and it is region free and it actually contains the JJ Abrams and Tom Cruise commentary but nothing else. Best AQ, since it contains lossless DTS-HD MA.
Also based on the caps it's the Best PQ http://www.caps-a-holic.com/c.php?a=...5&l=1&i=8&go=1 |
