Hitchcock's Psycho was released uncut in Germany in the Legacy Collection for the 1st time on blu-ray. The uncut version shows Janet Leigh removing her bra, shows more of Anthony Perkins' bloody hands and it shows a couple of more stabs when the P.I. gets attacked. The blu-rays are also region free. amazon.de/Psycho-Legacy-Collection-Deluxe-Blu-ray/dp/B07JYVQJNW
No other blu-ray is uncut and the US has never seen the uncut version. So glad I picked up the German release before the price of that set skyrocketed, even though it was just released last month. In addition, as an extra, it has the 4x3 version of the U.S. cut (not in HD). (It also has a lot more physical extras in terms of large movie posters, Bates Motel notepad, copy of letter written in the film, Bates Motel postcard, hardcover book with lots of photos (written in German), standalone photos, etc.) Last edited by Yuchira; 02-26-2019 at 10:53 PM. |

When I get home later I can scan the AU Via Vision Cube 20th anniversary release. I doubt it will beat the JP but it's region free and likely better than the old AU double feature.
UK Hackers looks to have the same special features as the DE and US plus a new exclusive commentary track so it can get marked as best for extras as well. |

For Cube, I went with the Korean release since it has the most extras. Not sure about PQ but I figured they all look similar anyway. Unfortunately it seems to be OOP now.
