Well, the vast majority found it to be a really baaaaaaad movie, that's all. In terms of script, acting, and most of the people didn't laugh at all. I mean it's what I heard everytime I brought this movie up and it's what I read from most of the french critics in newspaper. The movie was a box office disaster in France, too.

It's what my texan friend pays when he ships 90 discs to me in a big box.
I don't see why on earth we would need an insurance.
My international shipping to the US for a single disc is 5 euros (more or less).
I doubt it would be more the other way around.

Well, there's no accounting for taste (or the lack thereof).

Seriously, I try to never question what people like or don't because likes are such an individual thing, but I loved it - and on a poorly dubbed version at that. Hell, I wish I spoke French just to enjoy this as it was meant to be enjoyed. Are other Luc Besson flicks also "hated" on? If so ... well, like I said, I try to never question what people like. Vive la France!

Yeah we get ATMOS/Dolby 7.1 (love it!) but no IMAX!!!

Have you seen the BD yet? It's got some thin-ass black levels, and the first thing I thought of was that it needed higher gamma, especially in some of the D13 scenes. I don't recall the cinema version looking as washed-out as the Blu-ray occasionally does.

I know that crushed blacks is the current bête noir of this board, but the blacks really do look very shallow on the UK/US Blu-ray. Higher gamma would help smother the banding too.

Judging from that above capture the TW disc definitely has some black crush.
