Just wait for the 4K disc if you are concerned. It might be a minor improvement but the Sony streaming/download service is already offering Fury 4K. It will be a launch title, IMO. Just a guess.

[REC] 4: Apocalipsis
US - No release yet
UK - AVC 28,85 Mbps, DTS-HD MA 5.1 16-bit, English subs (Region B locked)
DE - AVC 29999 kbps 24fps, DTS-HD MA 5.1 4000 kbps 24-bit, No English subs
SP - AVC 26784 kbps 24fps, DTS-HD MA 7.1 5085 kbps 24-bit, English subs (Region free) Best AQ
JP - No release yet (June 2nd, Dolby TrueHD 7.1 96kHz upsampling and also a REC 1-4 Complete Blu-ray BOX)

Wish those JP REC discs would have eng subs since they seem to hold the best PQ for 1-2 at least

The SE disc has finer grain and a better bitrate.

The only thing of note, is how bad the German release turned out.

I'd say it has a tad more grain (which demands more bitrate), and that more of fine grain helps slightly on finest detail. Best to spot on that black round plate or whatev just behind the shop owners head.

Questionable to which degree thats noticeable on the moving picture though.
Let's hope for the UK release, but I got a somewhat bad feeling about.

I don't know about that, but it definitely looked different from the Blu-ray according to someone on here who got the 4K download.

There are EN subs on the DE disc (no SDH), but they're not very acurate. Obviously a reverse translation from DE sub.
Also, even if the DE Disc features low bitrate, the blacks are solid, color and contrast is somewhat richer (arguably overdone, IMO it is) in comparison. Evidently to compare when they light up the flares in the cave. The screen I've seen from the AU has the red light pretty pale and washed out.
I'm not saying the DE has overall better PQ than the AU, might depend on what's preferred, too.
But I think its a good example for higher bitrate means not necessarily better PQ.

Fistful of Dynamite, A
US - No release
IT - AVC 26000 kbps, DTS-HD MA 2.0 1570 kbps 16-bit, no English subs, 7 minute extra on Leone (Region B locked)

Don't know how you wanna list it, but there is an MGM US release under the Duck, You Sucker title. I gather that folks don’t think it’s very good and the site’s never reviewed it. Would love to know if anyone has an opinion as the US disc just fell to $7.99.

Fistful of Dynamite, A
US - AVC, DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1, 157 min (same as the Italian), 12 Subs : English SDH, French, Spanish, Portuguese, Japanese, German, Danish, Dutch, Finnish, Greek, Norwegian, Swedish (Region Free)
IT - AVC 26000 kbps, DTS-HD MA 2.0 1570 kbps 16-bit, no English subs, 7 minute extra on Leone (Region B locked)

The site also lists a German version (Region B) with the same stats as the US release:

Lets say it like this then, UK is same transfer as DE but has a little bit higher bitrate and thus better compression over DE and AU looks better than UK in my eyes but sure not everyone might like the look but 99% of all people I've seen discussing this thinks AU disc is overall the best.

No, it's actually a different transfer (AVC-VC-1), doesn't make much sense comparing them bitrate-wise.
In general, there are transfers @ 14MBps looking solid (E.G. The Town (link)), and rather poor ones @ 35MBps, EG
Requiem for a Dream (link), I wouldn't recommend blindly relying on bitrate comparing PQ. This might work on some, completely fail on other transfers.

There's been a comparison on The Descent

http://www.dvdcompare.net/comparison....php?fid=10767

where I guess the US tops the DE, probably the AU is behind as it lacks some extras, not so much PQ-related. IMO they overboosted color saturation and contrast on the DE disc for good, I'd probably slightly prefer the AU as well, PQ-wise

It's the same source, different encoding. Makes perfect sense.
