The 2 disc collector's set from 2009 is the one to get if you can find it for a good price. Not only does it have all of the extras, but it also has a DTS-HD MA 5.1 track that is 24-bit instead of the LPCM 16-bit found on the 2008 Disney release and also on the 2011 Lionsgate release. So, the 2008 Disney release and the 2011 Lionsgate discs are identical. Here's where it gets interesting. I have the CA steelbook and it has the DTS-HD MA 5.1 24-bit found on the 2009 2 disc U.S. set and it also has all of the extras that are found on disc 1 of that set. So, if you don't care about extras get the CA disc as it's probably cheaper than the 2 disc U.S. set since the CA disc does have the upgraded audio. The standard CA disc has the 24-bit audio as well in LPCM form. I will type out a listing below if you got confused.

2008 Disney & 2011 Lionsgate - LPCM 5.1 16-bit
2009 Disney 2 Disc Set - DTS-HD MA 5.1 24-bit (most extras)
2009 Canadian - LPCM 5.1 24-bit
2010 Canadian Steelbook - DTS-HD MA 5.1 24-bit

Good to know. Had that Canadian steelbook for ages - I remember it well because it had by far the worst glue stuck to the back that I have ever come across. Took the best part of an hour to remove it all as I recall!

Yeah that glue was something else for that. I remember my U.K. steelbook of Green Zone taking some time as well.

I know I'm going to also since it counts as Upgrades too for me. Groundhog Day I last owned on DVD with the Special Edition and The Age of Innocence last on VHS.

- wesslan contributed changes for SAW III, but in Post #10 you put the
changes in the entry for SAW (part 1).
Currently the data for SAW (part 1) are identical to SAW III, except the Line "DE new ..." which went to wrong entry.

Pretty sure the nordic is also high bitrate but see we haven't got those bitrates yet so I will check at home. And it's also very cheap, think I bought mine for like 5-6 euros. You miss english subs on that though.

I have the Nordic disc. Having seen caps of the JP release, I personally don't think there's any real difference between it and the Nordic disc, but if people want to import it on the cheap now, have at it.

Just recieved Face Off US Steelbook from Amazon.com and when I compared PQ to the Japanese version, the US one looked like a heavily DNR'd crap.

I only have the USA release so far all I need to do is buy the release from CDJapan. Unless if Paramount decided to give it a completely new scan.
Wonder if I should make a custom cover or not for a 2-Disc Viva Elite or just keep them separate.

It needs a new scan indeed and it is also one of my all time favourite movies.

I went blindly to a new movie theater back in 1997 with a friend not knowing what to expect and we were both blown away.
