The UK release is almost certainly a direct port of the German release, covered here by Mahadeva. It uses the same transfer as the Italian edition.

It has German and French menu options. When you select German, you get German trailers for Non-Stop and Robocop.

They're all using the Japanese transfer, but with a much higher bitrate.

Thanks a lot for letting us know about this release that I wasn't aware of.
With the addition of french subs it makes it the best release for me, so I'll definitely buy it sooner or later

I've seen The Doors on no less than five different video editions and own both the Lionsgate and Studio Canal Blu-rays. I can vouch that the SC exhibits richer and deeper colors than the LG. The LG is definitely softer. The disparity in the video bitrates is hence misleading. The 24-bit 7.1 track explodes with pulsating power on the surround channels but I like that the SC includes a 2.0 track that closely replicates the film's original Dolby Stereo.

Actually there was 6 track Dolby mix on the blow ups where as the CDS was normally a 4.0 mix I cannot find if the Doors was but it was the first 35mm CDS film

CDS was "normally" 5.1, like DTS and Dolby Digital. Didn't mean sound mixers would use all the channels, like the 4.0 mix of Edward Scissorhands.

The Doors 70MM mix was 5.1...which would make the choice for a 4.0 CDS soundtrack really odd.

Actually we have sound of late more of them are 4.0 and only a few 5.1 and there are a few DTS mixes like this also
