Yeah absolutely, I had set the "Best PQ" at the end of the US-specs (tried that, at least )..

Should we separate the countries/versions with a blank line, maybe makes it an easier read? I tried to copy the style from existing specs, so you might straight copy-paste them.

This list is for titles other than U.S. releases that have better PQ, AQ, and/or more extras.

No, Bronson belongs on the list because of the extras not found on the U.S. disc.

Just to be sure, this list also includes titles where the HD-DVD version is better than the BD, even if it's US vs US? I recently picked up an HD-DVD drive so I could grab such titles, though so far the only one I'm interested in is The Thing. Can anyone think of any others not on the list, either in terms of AQ/PQ or extras?

Yes, Downfall. All BD releases have a minor amount of DNR, but the DE HD DVD left it unmolested. I have been looking for it for years and have never seen it less than $100 though.

Yikes, fortunately most of the HD DVDs I've seen for sale atm are only around $5.

I guess Downfall isn't on the list due to not having bitrates for it? Bitrate is not everything afterall. A simple qualitative description such as "best PQ" or "no DNR" would be acceptable, and actually even more valuable than the bitrate imo.

Are you sure about Downfall HD DVD being german?
I'm only aware of the spanish HD DVD, called El Hundimiento.

Yes.
Getting the AVC encode is almost impossible. Even on the second hand market as it was not advertised anywhere on the disc or the cover. You just have to play it in your player to see if it's AVC (first release) or MPEG-2 (re-release).

Yes, just get the AUS release. It's region free.

Could be. I was always told it was a DE release, but either way I never see it for sale and when I do it's crazy expensive like the one you linked.
