Greetings,

There have been many reviewers disappointed in the lack of bass (LFE) on the US blu-ray. Did the rest of the regions get the same audio encode? All the concerns were coming from the US. (It's mentioned in the UK thread but no one commented on the UK disc) Can anyone comment on the bass from the other regions?

Can anyone with the UK disc confirm that it really is 1.85:1? I have seen conflicting reports.

The UK disc is 1.78:1. The Australian disc is 1.85:1 though.

No idea, but I hope so, as the JP disc is supposed to be the best worldwide and this re-release is cheaper. I would think it would probably be the same.

With regards to The Texas Chainsaw Massacre (2003) U.S disc, is the info correct about the aspect ratio being 1.78:1? Another source I've seen indicates that it's 1.85:1. Surely one of the 2500 members who own it and doesn't use overscan can check the disc to confirm this (there is not one single mention about it in the thread for the title, unless I missed it).

Edit: PuppetmasterBlu, since it was you who asked about this title yesterday I thought I would check your collection to see if you own the U.S disc, which I can see you do, so can you confirm the aspect ratio is indeed 1.78:1 for this U.S release?

Regarding Texas Chainsaw Massacre (2003), the German release seems to have the best extras, having all the extras from any release plus a behind-the-scenes featurette and several cast interviews. But it has DTS-HD instead of lossless audio like the others. Also, the comments for it on caps-a-holic complain about compression issues, but I'm having trouble seeing a difference PQ-wise (I know the framing is different). What do you guys think?

EDIT: Actually, looking at cap #2 again more closely I can see what one of the posters was talking about. Still having trouble seeing it in other caps though.
