Thanks for posting this.

Like any award, not all the winners will be the best choices in everyone's eyes. I would've picked Beauty and the Beast 3D as WAY better conversion compared to Lion King 3D. To be specific, it had stronger 3D in terms of 3D Layer Pop throughout. Lion King 3D wasn't consistent and felt mostly flat like paper when I saw it in theaters. BBeast felt like a cool pop up book.

I agree with you completely, Beauty and the Beast had a lot more 'wow' moments than Lion King IMO.

Okay, I HAVE to know what the Best 3D Moments of the Year were, and which one won for Hugo.
[Show spoiler]

And doesn't it really shame us that apart from the four movies and two documentaries, we haven't heard of ANY of entire categories of international 3DTV picking up the awards?
(And bet most here thought they were being "international" for knowing where to get an import copy of Sammy.)

so the 'best' 3D moment is mentioned here in this link but I'm still looking for the other nominees:

Well, that was good too, but wasn't the first moment that sprang to mind.
(And as for conversions, "Circle of Life" from Lion King has to be up there somewhere...)
