Any word on whether it will be the "reconstruction"? Either way, day 1 for me!

Unfortunately the "reconstruction" runs 163 minutes so 114 means the original cut.

I was coming to say finally, but if this is the original cut instead of the Reconstruction. Come on and give us the Reconstruction on Blu!

I just did a little research on the matter, and I also felt disappointed. Any idea why would they bother to release heavily compromised version only?

I really wish the product info is wrong, but I doubt it.

Crap ... The reconstruction was a FAR superior film ... Sounds like they are looking for the double dip ?

I've been really looking forward to checking this one out because everybody claims it's one of Fuller's bests.

Is this date definitely set in stone because the 14th falls on a Monday?

+1 for the reconstruction. If it's just the theatrical, I'll stick with my DVD.

April 14th is the order due date only I believe. This will likely be out in May. Same with Memphis Belle.

I almost bought the DVD a couple of weeks ago, and my instincts told me to wait.

From what I've read about the movie, I'd rather watch the reconstructed version in SD, than the studio-chopped version in HD.

No way it's not the reconstruction, IMO. Maybe it's both.

Can't understand how anyone would want the theatrical if they've seen the reconstruction. I have to think it's a mistake and Warner are releasing the reconstruction given their most recent DVD release of this film.

They may only have an acceptable HD master of the theatrical cut. This would be first inclination.

My thought too, but didn't the reconstruction play in very limited release back in 2004? I would assume if it was good enough for a cinema screen it'd be good enough for blu-ray.
