I just don't want it to seem like I'm taking the piss! My TV's been as good as gold thus far in terms of operationality, and just to reiterate what Pete said I've just tried all that developer stuff and it hasn't sped up the menus any further, it seems like not having it connected to the internet in any way is the primary thing that speeds it up. And I prefer the menus with animation set to x1, they actually seem a bit choppier (even if they are fractionally faster) with animation set to x0.5 or even off.

I'm happy now. It's not the fastest menu system still, but lots better than before where it would be so sluggish that sometimes a click would take 3 or 4 seconds to respond. |

It hasn't locked up, but I'll change inputs on the receiver to a 4K source and the screen will go blank. At first I thought it was a handshake issue but when that occurs it usually downgrades the source to 1080p - not a blank screen with no signal detected. Pulling the plug restored it after the hard reboot.

I wish it was for me, but no amount of plugging/unplugging my BD player, receiver, xbox one, roku ultra, etc would have the TV either display a picture or allow one over 1080p. Unplug and reboot of TV restored they picture and/or 4K. Very annoying when I have to do it (roughly once every 2 weeks). |

Talk with GeoffD about his customized settings. You must be somewhere in Europe with a ZD9.

Depends on whether clemdog is one of them 'torch mode' types. Doesn't matter if you get a great HDR TV if you pump all your SDR settings into the stratosphere to begin with, then HDR will look dim and dark regardless. Clemdog, it's over to you...

Chad B set for 9/13, will post as found and post cal results here.
Going to have him set Home for SDR and Pro for HDR to make it easy. |

Are you using HMDI 2 or 3 on the TV? Is your HDMI setting set to "Enhanced"? What movies did you try? |

Set to HDMI 3 and it is enhanced. My previous set was a Sony 940C so I'm very familiar with HDR. I know this new panel should be considerably brighter than the 940 but when playing a UHD it seems darker... I've played a number of titles like Guardians 2, Hidden Figures, Batman Lego and others... |
