Just watched McCabe and Mrs Miller. Loved the transfer. Absolutely beautiful. Movie is still as great as I remembered. Haven't seen it in years. I still hate that fake snow blowing across the camera during the final sequence, but nothing can be done.

Just picked up the Dressed to Kill DVD for my mom. Is there a way to tell from the external packaging that it's the corrected version?

I found today out-of-print DVD copies of John Woo's The Killer and Hard Boiled and only paid $3.75 each. I also bought Metropolitan for $7.50. Good Day.

Mine did not say that on the coupon. Interesting. When did you coupons arrive? Mine came mid Oct and were good thru Nov 13th.

Thank you for the recommendations for my next foray into Bergman's films. I will probably start with Persona, and then Wild Strawberries.

I am also curious about if there have been any rumors regarding a BD upgrade of Le Samurai. Army of Shadows was amazing, and I have heard nothing less than awesome reviews for Le Samurai. Barring that, anyone know where I can score a reasonably priced copy of Le Circle Rouge?

It should say "Second Printing 2015" in the fine print somewhere under the barcode.

Just keep your eye on Amazon/eBay for it. Recently picked it up like new from a seller on Amazon for $60. Turns out it was a defective disc (something funky with the menu, and froze an hour and fifty minutes into the movie), but I contacted Criterion and got a replacement disc as well as a $20 refund from Amazon for my trouble. So all in all, despite the hassle I only paid $40 for it

I'm blowing my own horn here, but I finished my fastest marathon ever this morning with a finish time of three hours and 59 minutes. I've always wanted to run a sub-four-hour marathon, and I finally pulled it off after years of running these races.

Anyway, while I was driving back down from the race in north Georgia, I almost had a real-life Letter Never Sent moment.

The largest wildfire in Georgia history is going on right now because of the drought that we're having. One of the breakouts was happening right next to the I-75 interstate, so I saw flames on one of the mountains while driving up in the morning, and there was a ton of smoke on the highway on the way back. I was hoping that it wouldn't overtake the interstate, but, the way that things are going with the lack of water, anything is possible.

I'm going to take this opportunity to pimp Letter Never Sent for those of you who are looking for something cool and new during this B&N sale. There's a great forest fire scene that looks as though they darn near burned Russia down while creating this movie.

Why would you get a refund from Amazon for something purchase on EBay?

Awesome job! Nearly four hours of running is quite an amazing feat imo. Personally, I could never last more than 90 minutes or so (10Ks are the most I've ever done, but I usually stick with 5Ks). Can't help but to admire anybody who can last a full marathon.

Some day I will watch Letter Never Sent...

And then there's me honestly trying to get a refund/replacement off amazon for damage goods and end up being banned. Takes the biscuit! Even though I sent photo proof!

So really the other guy on Amazon tried to scam you. It's awesome that Criterion would still issue a replacement disc.

Congrats on completing a sub 4:00 Marathon! I've tried, but never accomplished this feat, but only came kinda close and finished around 4:10, but that was 4 years ago.
