Yeah it's the inspiration for at least 3 of my all time favorite films.

Walter Hill's The Driver, The American and Drive.

Haven't seen any of these, but I take it Le Samourai would be a good blind buy in November?

Really? I think we might have a new contender for the worst category... And I am not talking about Philadelphia story or Desert Hearts [emoji4]

Le Samourai and Le Cercle Rouge are both on FilmStruck if you want to watch before buying.

Wow, they're upgrading Le Samourai, I think that's been one of those pie in the sky titles that so many people have been desiring but it never seemed would happen. Jabberwocky is a good release too - it's like a spiritual sequel to Monty Python and the Holy Grail.

Thank heavens you can cross that one off the list!

Nice month.
Who would've thought that this day would finally come?

A glass of champagne in my hand, tears in my eyes and a neverending grin.

... What a day to be alive.

Walter Hill's The Driver, The American and Drive.
As well as The Killer and Ghost Day: The Way of the Samurai.

This Gun for Hire was a major inspiration for it, to bring it full circle.

I feel like the odd man out. Like that scene in 'Coming to America' when Eddie Murphy starts cheering for 'halftime' during the basketball game, to everyone else's confusion.

I was all "YES, JABBERWOCKY!" while everyone else in the thread was going nuts for "Le Samourai". Ha.

What did the transfer look like to you? Aside from getting a more true HD image from the BLU did you think the transfer you viewed was worthy?

Beyond ecstatic about Le Samourai. Will be picking this up during the November sale no doubt about it. Maybe they will re-release, Le Cercle Rouge?
