(Also, why hasn't Criterion issued White Dog on Blu-ray yet? It's the only Sam Fuller title in their catalogue that is DVD-only).
They’re probably worried about the woke mob on that one.

Thank you for mentioning the Beastie Boys, whoever that was. I love collecting concert films and music video collections. YouTube's music videos sound and look bad.

They had shipping charges on those! I didn't know that! Huh.

Amazon wasn’t charging shipping as such, they were price matching what B&N charged if you bought a single disc, which fell under B&N’s free shipping threshold.

Barnes and Noble is done without the membership discount. It will be a non player. Why buy from them when Amazon is much faster to deliver. Sad but I will not buy from Barnes anymore.

Amazon isn't faster than B&N. You must be talking about Prime members. I still add enough for free, slow shipping on almost every Amazon order.

Because without BN -- Amazon charges $28 for a regular Criterion and doesn't have a physical store that I can avoid shipping completely

I can buy BN Giftcards for 10-25% off most of time so even without the member discount it's cheaper than Amazon.

These Fuller's from their Eclipse collection still haven't seen a release on blu.

I usually keep up pretty good with all of the Criterions that I want. But I did use the sale to upgrade Stephen Frears' "The Hit" (I already owned the Criterion DVD of that one), and I finally picked up Paul Schrader's "The Comfort of Strangers".

I'm perhaps most excited, however, that the sale caused my pre-orders of the Fellini box and Scorsese's "The Irishman" to plummet in price.

Someone told me in the Fellini thread months ago that the price would drop to 125 dollars during this particular sale after I complained that Bergman's collection was much cheaper, so it wasn't a surprise for me.

I'm looking forward to comparing the 2020 Studio Canal Nights of Cabiria. I'm confident that disc will look slightly better.

I blind bought a ton of Criterion with the latest sale. Tonight was Repulsion and I loved it.

It's a slow burn and I really don't want to say much about it. It's probably one of the best portrayals of seen of psychosis. If you like pretty girls that are crazy, this one is for you.

It's an excellent movie definitely. If you haven't you should check out Polanski's earlier two films, Cul-de-sac (which has a Criterion release) and Knife in the Water.

I rewatched Repulsion and Rosemary's Baby this week, four years later. Surprisingly, I went from preferring Repulsion to preferring Rosemary's Baby. Just better put together horror with more involving characters and mystery. Repulsion is still pretty good, though. More psychological, though Rosemary's Baby has some psychological elements too.

I've been in that thread. Can't remember who first mentioned it though. Been waiting for that since it was first mentioned.

Managed to get lucky again and hit the "three sales in one" sweet spot. Grabbed "The Blob" "The Virgin Suicides" and "Cronos" for $33.51.

Weird thing is, not five minutes later and the prices (or sales) have changed.

I have spent a bloody fortune over the past day or so with these deals. (yay?)

Say it ain't so! That's news to me. At least I won't be upset the next time I try to add an additional 10% off for a Criterion 50% off sale item. Damn. I'm kind of bummed to hear that I can't save an additional 10% off at future sales. I remember the days when I stacked coupons and got Criterion blu-rays for $12 or $14 a pop! They even honored my $5 for every $50 you spend coupon after the 30 or 40% Black Friday coupons no longer worked. But yeah, now it won't be $17.99 for a Criterion but $19.99 I guess. Oh well, better than $39.99 still.
