If I knew where it was at exactly, I would prob go pick it up. But I could of went to a Barnes & Noble if I wanted to do that s*** and saved $6 on shipping.
Don't you also have to pay taxes on most shipments anyway since so many warehouses are in KY? Seems like half the stuff I get in the mail is either from KY or TN.

Just finished watching The King of Marvin Gardens for the first time (NetFlix/streaming).

Very strange film...but like a train wreck, I had to watch it to the end.

Ellen Burstyn a very good psycho role...it's ironic, but Dern and Nicholson could have switched roles and gotten away with it...the Dern role almost seemed more suitable for Nicholson.

I also learned what Scatman Crothers real first name was for the first time...Benjamin!

All I paid was $5.95 standard and $1.92 on sales tax.

Next film coming tomorrow is "The Passenger"...an Antonioni film and sounds quite compelling...any feedback...CG...or anyone?

I've got three other BFI titles in my top three in the queue...any personal feedback on these titles?

Saturday Night and Sunday Morning
The Innocents
The Loneliness of the Long Distance Runner

What's the matter CG...no comments on "Marvin Gardens"?

Haven't seen Marvin Gardens yet. Can't wait to though. That's why I didn't comment.

I hope announcements (if it's tomorrow) has a surprise. Please Malle!

The Passenger is terrific. And it's also a film I think would benefit greatly from the Criterion treatment. Not just in A/V quality, but I'm sure there's some very interesting supplements they could put on there.

Thanks for the feedback on The Passenger!

Sorry about Marvin Gardens...I thought you had seen it. But from what I've seen of your taste in films...I think you'll enjoy it!

Don't get me wrong...it was an interesting film to watch...but a lot stranger than I thought it would be.

Cheaply made. Well acted (or hilariously bad). And interesting is how I like my American movies.

I'd like to know the suit who was behind this brilliant decision....

Oh yeah, our crappy re-make includes the original which is far superior!

LOL I got nervous there for a sec and thought you were talking about some other Anne Hathaway movie called Passengers that I saw very recently and kinda sucked. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Passengers_(film)

Guess there's just a lot of movies with a similar name.

The ONLY way I will order something from them again is if something is really on sale (F 50%. I'm talking more.). Or they change shipping, which prob won't happen, since it seems they are a 3rd party seller with Criterions. After you place an order, they have to order it, then wait for it, then ship it out to you with crappy shipping (since your more than likely paying for both shipments, to them and from them.).

It's complete luck. Both of the orders I placed last Sunday arrived by the end of the week. I was just lucky.
