Have you considered Stagecoach? It seems like a pretty good fit for your collection.

(Oh, and it's a pretty good movie too)

I really enjoyed it. The only beef I had with it is I found it impossible to like or sympathize with 99% of the characters. It's an excellent film anyway imo.

Yeah, I thought about that, but I'm kinda set on either The Seventh Seal or Yojimbo.

Oh, there's nothing more I'd like to do then to get both, but I only got enough on me for one right now, and since I plan on getting Videodrome and Cronos in the next few weeks, it's tough.

I you already have Seven Samurai, than picking The Seventh Seal is a better idea.

Looking quickly at your collection, I think Seventh Seal would match well with you compare to Yojimbo. Not that you would hate Yojimbo but Seventh Seal seem to be something that you would enjoy judging from your collection.

Hey greek...as it's a Sunday morning...I'm still screwing my head on correctly.

I'll write more in a bit...but I was on the fence with The Seventh Seal, just as you are now.

I tried to watch it more than once and it just didn't do it for me. I rented and eventually bought The Magician, as I really enjoyed it.

I opted to give The Seventh Seal another chance, not only for the film itself, but there is quite a bit of good supplemental material on the film and on Bergman.

At the time, $14.06 including tax seemed like the time to go for it.

Good luck with your decision.

Also, I have a man-crush on your Blu-ray collection.
Yeah, I saw how cheap the box set was currently, and I'm kinda on the verge of maybe asking for it as a Christmas gift if I get Seventh Seal.

Oh, and my collection says that she's very fond of you as well. She's a lush, so I'll have to talk to her in private soon. Anyway, I also admire your collection, even if you only got 16 movies. It's a lot better than most of the collections I see on here, actually. And yeah, getting M should be a top priority for you.

Thanks for the input. Well, we talked about The Magician a few days ago, and I ended up buying that. I really enjoyed it, which is why I'm considering Berman's other movie.

But I watched Seven Samurai for the third time last night, and I realized that beside Ran, I don't have any other Kurosawa films, and I heard how good Yojimbo was. I heard that Sanjuro was only okay, which is why I'm mainly focused on Yojimbo. But yeah, that's where I'm at right now.

Thanks, guys.

Has anyone ever had these problems, or am I a rare case? Any suggestions?

Thanks.
Finally had a chance to play Yojimbo on my updated PS3, and it works perfectly. Just in case anyone was wondering.

Wow!! Nice Collection bro.

I have one question though. Why does Criterion remove titles from their collection. Is it for marketing purposes?

Because they decide that it sucks and should no longer be in the collection. But seriously, it could be a number of reasons such as losing the license to the title like what happened with Ran.

Considering that Studio Canal has the rights to the movie and that they released their own version in North America, it seems unlikely that they will release it again on blu-ray.
