They market themselves specifically as a premium product. I'm not even complaining, but if people are paying for a premium product, they have every right to say the product isn't premium enough. They aren't just paying for what you say they are ![]() |

Used copies on Amazon are listing for $89 dollars and up. Ebay isn't much better. I wonder how high this movie is going to get. I would think at some point, sellers are going to price themselves out of the consumer market with this movie.

Jon Mulvaney told me in an email recently, what I just shared with you. I was going to make a used purchase on Ebay for a local friend and it didn't have the booklet. I emailed Jon about it and he told me I was out of luck, so I didn't make the purchase.

Guess one of these days I'll have to get around to seeing The Red Shoes. On a side note, one Criterion I'd like to see on BD would be The Most Dangerous Game. I can think of a good amount of extras to include (various radio versions of the story, information connecting it to Kong etc.) |

I saw the news yesterday, and it's difficult to get excited about Criterion getting in bed with Hulu. I'm particularly amused at how Hulu Plus users must pay $10 a month and they still have to watch a smattering of ads before each feature. I refuse to do that. Even on cable, I DVR everything so I can avoid them. There's no question Netflix didn't properly present their films, because as they pointed out, you can't even search on the term Criterion. Oh well, I'll just reactivate physical media on my Netflix plan. Hulu seems like it's giving the brand the respect it deserves, so this seems like a good business move. Hope it works out well for Criterion!
