I don't know how in the world can someone fit a 15 hour film into 92 minutes. One of the episodes run that long.

Just saw it on schedule on TFO and the run time is listed as that. I was a bit surprise since I have never heard of anything like that for this movie but like I said I really don't much about the release version of it. I will place on DVR and have a look at it, seem very strange

Maybe it's the epilogue (which runs about an hour and a half).

Really? Because I remember buying Che and Le Cercle Rouge on Amazon last year and all (if not most) of the Criterions were on sale, kind of like how Barnes and Noble does. Oh well thanks anyways.

They do Amazon sales very randomly. Suddenly they'll make 20 or 30 titles priced at $17-$21 for a couple weeks. I think the last one was in April/May or so...on over 20 titles... don't remember exactly.

Since the Barnes and Noble sales are well known, and almost on a timetable. It seems like what Amazon has been doing is to try "preempting" the Barnes and Noble sale via having their own Criterion mini-sale a week or two ahead of Barnes and Noble. Just watch, I bet somewhere around the week of 10/20 or 10/27 there will be an Amazon sale. It won't necessarily be advertised, but they will suddenly drop a bunch of Criterion's to $20-22.

However like you say, it is just a very small selection of titles that Amazon puts on sale compared to B&N. Probably less than half of the titles might hit in the $20-22 range, but I've hardly ever seen them drop to $17 - maybe just 1 or 2 at a time. They will also still randomly have some titles at closer to their normal price, not on sale at all.

I'm getting tired of Amazon's strategy the past few years of "matching" other retailers deals rather than actually have good prices/sales of their own, I've been avoiding them as much as I can lately.

Yay, my order from the Criterion flash sale arrived!

I'll have to check out World on a Wire and 39 Steps as soon as I can, since they're blind buys, but since I'm on a horror movie kick these days, I might have to wait until November.

By then, I'll probably be wondering what to order for the B&N sale.

...seriously, what should I order? I'm running out of ideas.

That's my plan.... fortunately it's not that much, since they let me pre-order stuff during the last B&N sale.

lol, I like that answer. Unfortunately, I can't be like Beta Man.

I definitely want to pre-order Rashomon, I don't recall if the Trilogy of Life falls in the sale period, but that was another big one I was eyeballing.

I'm pretty sure that Trilogy of Life does fall within the sale dates. I haven't decided for sure whether I want to grab this one. Ironically (after my last comment) I think my days of buying nearly all the CC Blus are over. I'll for sure grab Rashomon, Rosemary's Baby, Weekend, and Forgiveness of Blood. But will be debating Trilogy and Sunday Bloody Sunday right until the last moment!

Yes!
John Cassavetes' Husbands Heading Back to UK Cinemas
This story claims it has been restored by Sony, so we can hope it'll be available in all regions soon.
