I hear the music is much different, though. Just Badalamenti's synths.

AAAAAACKKKKK!!!! I love that movie! My favorite Mike Leigh film...oh the humanity!

To each his own, however, because I know that I'm in the minority in praying that Criterion doesn't soil their collection with Mullholand Drive (my only bad Lynch experience....I can feel every moment of it's rejected television pilot status).

I'd really like to see more Almodovar in the collection, particularly his earlier films like Law of Desire and What Have I Done to Deserve This?, both of which even have unsubbed Blu-ray releases in Spain.

Who is Ikuko? He / she was recently added (minutes ago) to Criterion's people, so the movie he / she stars in will be coming out in November.

http://www.criterion.com/people/121218

Edit: It could be an upgrade of Twenty-Four Eyes.

If you're unhappy today -- after all, hope breeds disappointment -- you can "whinge" for John Mulvaney at mulvaney@criterion.com. It's said that he lives for it.
Pilots aren't supposed to wrap up every plot thread, otherwise you wouldn't have a season's worth of storylines. Also, it wasn't originally meant to all

All of us getting worked up about Mulholland knowing it's a long shot... but that's the fun of life and internet forums right??

Now, if Criterion would just release their list already!!!

Looking through the Criterion DVDs that have not yet been upgraded, I have a few more random wishes that have not been mentioned yet...

Classe Tour Risques (One of the DVDs I'm still holding on to, but we need an upgrade fast)
Blast of Silence (Christmas will be the perfect time to upgrade this one.)
Brute Force (Another awesome Burt Lancaster flick)
Elevator to the Gallows (Miles Davis score...a win across the board)
Night Train to Munich (Another Hitchcock-esque rocker of a film)
Overlord (Criminally underrated war movie)
The Sword of Doom (If there was ever a Criterion that could use a drastic restoration, it's this one.)
The Spirit of the Beehive (This one is just crying out to be upgraded to Blu-ray.)
That Hamilton Woman (You people won't believe how hot Vivien Leigh is in this movie.)
Young Mr. Lincoln (John Ford!)

And Rohmer's Six Moral Tales boxset. I want that the most.

YES! That would be great. Really started to get into John Ford over the last 5-10 years. An English professor friend of mine turned me on to John Ford. Amazing director with such a great eye for directing.

I was hoping for a box set of Zatoichi, say at least 4, 5 films (with others to follow). Maybe they'll release the first on its own and the rest in larger groupings?

Young Mr. Lincoln (John Ford!)
Would also be in for this...

I was very suprised when it wasn't upgraded to Blu in conjuction with the Theatrical or Blu release of Spielberg's "Lincoln".

Seems like a wasted opportunity.
