A wise decision.

Congratulations on your purchase and enjoy the film

Marvin Gardens I liked, thought Ellen Burstyn was amazing. PQ quality I thought Five Easy Pcs looked the best, followed by Marvin Gardens. I appreciated the BW gritty and grainy of Picture Show. Overall, I think it is a fantastic set. I'll watch supplements sometime this week.
You left out any mention of Head, which is the one film I'm looking forward too most in the set!

I have not watched it yet. And I did not watch Easy Rider because I also own the Sony version and watched it recently.

You should open it up and watch it..... THEN, you'll understand why people collect Criterions..... Much like the randomness of Steelbooks..... there will certainly be films you don't enjoy, don't get, or even "hate" but I don't think anyone here is collecting "packaging".

He watched quite a bit..... Perhaps he needed sleep, or the Tambourine Man took the night off

One to three days would get it to me by Friday at the very latest (no delivery on Thanksgiving). UPS tracking has it listed as "3 DAY SELECT"

I think I've got a chance at getting it by Wednesday, as I'm pretty close to their warehouse in NJ...we'll see.
Mine shipped as well. I only have to wait a month to get it. Now only 3 titles are pending: Paths of Glory, House and Charade...

I think I mentioned it elsewhere...... but Criterion's own site is great..... there are good articles, links to other stuff of interest, hallucination-prompting articles of clothing, and LOTS of information.

Their FAQ's should be mandatory reading for new posters in this thread

Just got my e-mail about the BBS set as well. Happy. I was afraid it was going to be a "backordered" problem again and have my order canceled.

I haven't checked the accuracy, but this is pretty helpful...

My set HAS NOT shipped, I'm major pissed! I'm going out of town come Saturday and won't be back for over a week! I just love how B&N "cherry picks" who's order ships. I'm also hearing B&N a screwing people with the 19.99 Life blu-ray as well by cancelling orders!

Hmmm...just checked status on BBS set. Seems it shipped from Sparks, Nevada? I guess that's a bit further away from me than Monroe, NJ.

I guess tomorrow would be a REAL long shot and Wednesday is possible, but might be pushing it. Well...at least Friday is sounding like a more realistic expectation.

Hey...unless it moves fast...would be nice to watch on Turkey Day...a man can dream.

Now that I read the UPS tracking info..."Scheduled Delivery Date: 11/29/2010"...Hey...that's more than 3 days! I just hope that it's a padded estimate.

Can't find it, link?
DVDbeaver kinda messed around their page layout and I'm all sorts of confused.
