Watched The Burmese Harp over the weekend and found it profoundly moving. Anyone think Criterion will upgrade this to blu next year?

Btw CG, I watched Contempt last nite and loved it. I rank it with Vivre Sa Vie as my favorite Godard so far, although I love all five that I've seen.

It has these people in it. Let me know if you don't recognize any of them.

Well I work at a theatre. In a few years it may work. It works for classics and foreign films usually though.

According to this site's reviewer it's one of the best films ever.

I think it's very good but calling it one of best ever is questionable, imo.

It's definitely not one of the best ever, but I think it's Nolan's best work. Yes, even better than The Dark Knight. Although, I think Memento is better than The Dark Knight too. Anyway, you can't go wrong blind-buying the film.

I like Nolan's work.

The one thing I fear is his movies will become increasingly over-produced. I'm of the opinion good films can be made on modest budgets. Also, less money often means more creativity and originality which rules.

That's exactly why I loved Memento so much. I'd like to see him return to that, but I have a feeling The Dark Knight Rises is gonna need a bit of money to be made.

Inception is the first film from Nolan that I felt was overproduced. Sure, Batman Begins and especially The Dark Knight were big productions, but that's exactly what was called for there. Insomnia, Memento and The Prestige are all tight productions, IMO, and I expect Nolan will go back to another movie of that type when DKR is done with.

- Rider Strong (Shawn) from Boy Meets World

- Sigourney Weaver from Alien 3?

- ... is that.. Leonardo DiCaprio?... yea! Reenacting the torture scene in Braveheart wearing jeans...

- Mr. Miagi

- How did you get this still of Cillian Murphy's audition for the part of the Joker?

I think your guesses are actually better than the photos I posted. How did that happen?

Let's just say I know a guy who knows a guy that knows a guy who looks like Cillian Murphy dressed as a woman?

I think we've initiated the first phase of the dream sequence: where actors we thought we knew were more (or less) than they appeared to be...

OMG... what's the "kick" for this level?

Now a days, every other movie that come's out is the best movie ever, doesn't really mean anything anymore. It's a phrase people just like to use.

Well I would say his taste is wiggty-wiggty-wack! He is reviewing for his "crowd" of people though.

I have Inception sitting downstairs from BB online. One question before viewing; Is the film more character involved, or concept involved?

Of course!

Ironically, they tell you 6-12 business days. When the order was completed, it gave an estimated date of 12/24. AFTER it was shipped, the est. date became 12/31?

I figure that this is either a big padding to protect themselves and/or the Christmas rush and the issue with shipping to the US because of terrorism has inflated shipping times from Europe...at least for the time being.

A number of people that ordered Metropolis from MoC (living in the US), waited a LOT longer than we are accustomed to...so it may very well be a long wait...we'll see.

I'm lost on what "Crowd" that is? I certainly can't figure out what yours is..... now that I see you participate in a WWE thread

I saw the username as the last post, and figured it was just a really similar name, and I read it incorrectly..... but alas......

I like CM Punk. Don't act like you never watch wrestling Phish fan.

Also, why does reviewers on this site bold reviews like Avatar and Inception? I mean, I know why, but I want to hear them say why.
