I'm not sure why they didn't ship the 2nd time at least priority when they said they did. Maybe they can make it two months.

The moral of the story either pay for UPS shipping or don't order from B&N. Contracting DHL to USPS can't be saving them enough money for this kind of service.
As I said earlier in this thread, they cancelled my «Paths of Glory» order. According to them the set is unavailable and they can't get more in stock. I even grabbed a screen-shot of their website with the product page saying that it is available to ship in 24 hours. They didn't bother to answer...

No kidding, I just received 6 items that shipped on Nov. 4 last Friday. Their customer service is absolutely ridiculous as well.

Just received my Night of the Hunter blu ray. Sent from Barnes and Noble to Australia. It shipped a month ago and i've finally got it to find the packaging has been torn on the spine. They didn't bother to package it with any bubble wrap. This is so annoying after having to wait so long for it.

Does anyone know how i go about getting it replaced? Would I have to post it back to them?

please help

They should have included a return slip with your package, you would then have to mail it back or take it to a local store.

Waiting for "Paths of Glory" to go on sale again. I missed the low price Amazon offered it recently. Decided to go ahead and get it. A five dollar difference isn't a big deal. Will give me something to watch this Wednesday I also got "The Naked Prey." I remember seeing this movie as a young teenager. A one of a kind movie, in my opinion.

Modern Times is showing up as being "Under Review" on Amazon. The release year is also set to 1905 for some reason. Does anyone know what's going on with this title?

More than likely, Amazon had several complaints from customers about the movie. It may be a defect issue they are sorting through.

I would contact Criterion directly..... tell them about your issues with the retailer etc.... and more than likely they'll remedy the situation directly. I certainly wouldn't ship the entire thing back, if it took that long to get to you in the first place. Criterion's customer service is top notch.

(although.... if you watched it, how soon will you really want to watch it again )

Finally watched Antichrist. Fifteen years ago I really liked Lars von Trier. The first two acts of Antichrist were just boring and then it shifted to shock value ******y. Kind of sad. Glad I rented this one.

Just got my copy of Breathless on BD with a few others from the BN sale
I notice it is in digi-pak format?
Does anyone know if they do replacement cases for this title in the standard plastic case as part of the replacement program?
I thought it was only for the first block of releases
Mind you, I also thought that only multi disc sets were digipak on BD from Crit and Breathless is one disc?

Thanks

No replacement case, they designed it after the DVD version of the film.

I see T.P. Wiseau's THE ROOM is getting a blu-ray (maybe 3d, too) release in 2011. Someone should ask Criterion on FB if they'd release it.

Fist of all the packaging for Breathless is beautiful, much better than the clear cases. Are you really jeopardizing beauty for consistency? Also, I doubt that booklet would fit in a clear case anyway. Hope you enjoy the movie...

In the meantime, you could have had a replacement from amazon for free (in a day or so if you're a Prime member).

Yeah, there might be something going on over as it gets closer to the holiday because I haven't heard back from anyone, either, regarding a message that I sent a while back.

Yea, the holidays can be a real b!t**. Don't get me wrong, I love the Christmas season, but that's when the customer service instantaneously drops off the map for every retailer.
