Just hoping for Kenji Misumi's sword trilogy which would pair perfectly with Radiance's release of The Betrayal in September. Flow would be nice as well.

Hoping for those as well as Captain Blood gosh I hope you're right MifuneFan, and we finally get it in September as that film is super nostalgic for me. As I own, and probably still own the film on VHS in a green box set, which includes The Sea Hawk, and The Adventures of Robin Hood. I'm also hoping for The Mack, and a History of Violence too.

Also Heartburn possibly, and White Dog maybe also The Bad Sleep Well. The Year of Living Dangerously too been waiting on that one for a while

Anyone know what’s going on with Olivier’s Henry V or Hamlet? They never even got a Blu-ray.

Jeez, is it that time of the month again already? I have no personal wishlist except for maybe a 4K upgrade of The Element of Crime. Don’t have a lot of hopes for that, though. It would be nice if they announced French Connection.

Criterion lost the rights to that trilogy and the set is OOP, it and most of LvT's work are with MUBI.

Speaking of, ANTICHRIST is now on MUBI, which means the Criterion will likely go OOP very soon.

LOST IN TRANSLATION is very likely to be happening within the next few years or so after Kino forfeited the rights.

I just want Captain Blood. Been waiting for what feels like forever. Keep seeing criterion is gonna do it. It's a very entertaining film (that goes by fast at 2 hours). An inch or two below The Sea Hawk, but still great.

No matter what happens I won't be complaining for a couple of months because Criterion is giving me two BIG ones August. Still, I can still hope for some good titles. I think both The Sword Trilogy and Flow will happen this year, but not sure when. Will be picking of Isle of Dogs for sure mainly due to that art and never owned the film.

If it's White Dog (a better film than its reputation) then I really hope they have a new scan, not one from 2008.

They're ITV titles and Criterion currently doesn't seem to have any deals with them. They're getting new Blu-rays based on 4K restorations from Imprint though:

If FLOW isn't September then I'd definitely expect November (sale month) or December (last month of year). Anyway, I went with the Curzon release (out at the end of the month) based on the VDMS encode and the fact that I'm a sucker for slipcases with thick booklets.

No, WHITE DOG (1982) was followed by THIEVES AFTER DARK (1983) and STREET OF NO RETURN (1989) as feature films. Fuller also directed a TV movie and one episode of a TV series after STREET OF NO RETURN.

Both THIEVES AFTER DARK and STREET OF NO RETURN were made in France but with English dialogue. I don't know if either of them ever got much, if any, US theatrical distribution but they have been screened at cinematheques and film festivals. I saw STREET OF NO RETURN as well as WHITE DOG and some other Fuller films at a film festival with Fuller in attendance.

Fuller was a fascinating storyteller in person. No idea how accurate those stories were, but they sure were good stories! WHITE DOG was worth seeing, especially as an anti-racist film (exactly the opposite of how it was treated on initial US release) but STREET OF NO RETURN was pretty meh to me. Might feel different if I saw it again, but it was obviously a pretty low budget production.

Should be within the next hour and a half or so. (Unless they are waiting until Monday.)
