I prefer the older one for some reason. :P

Then again, this cover reminds me of Fanny and Alexander. Heh.

I've seen it, and I enjoyed it quite much. It came on IFC not too long ago, and I recorded it onto my DVR. It's a good film about the typical dysfunctional French family. Plus, it has a great performance from Mathieu Amalric, who I enjoy more and more with each film I see. I look forward to the blu-ray release.

In regards to the UK BD release of Belle de jour by Studio Canal, are we sure that Lionsgate has the US rights? Last I knew the US DVD was from Buena Vista (via Miramax). Perhaps the US BD will also be through Buena Vista?

I've had The Third Man on order from Amazon since August 31st. Currently, Amazon does not even list the item as temporarily out of stock but as NLA. I know this has been mentioned before, but have we heard anything from Criterion on this? It's still listed as available on their website but Amazon does not have it. They have, however, not canceled my preorder.

No we're not sure. Most likely Lionsgate does not have the US rights, as the UK BD apparently is region B only. Myself, I'm hoping that Criterion is able to put it out on blu-ray.

General consensus theory is that it's out of print in its cardboard incarnation, about to rise from the ashes in a plastic case.

I thought 8 1/2 too but I wonder why they would use a dog to illustrate it ? But that could mean Jan / FEB / March ,,,, hahah

I just read they pushed the film release for NINE to mid Dec select cities and Dec 25th Nationwide. I thought it was gonna be DEC for the release anyhow I guess originally it was coming in Nov.

Much preferred. Liked the simple old one, but thought it was a little too simple.

Do you guys think that there will be Director's cut of Benjamin Button? I do know there was more footage filmed and they missed the 7th lightning story so is it possible or because Criterion released it, that means no double dip for this title?

Highly doubt we'll see another release of Benjamin Button.
