I believe you've said too much, young man. Now, off to your room. Wait, that's probably where you're at, isn't it?

Nope. Just got it and it's just all the 'Three Reasons' trailers that Criterion has assembled thus far. Criterion says to expect a new trailer every week.

Why did they say "Newsletter" yet it's a page of videos they already shown us, and most care nothing for, since we already own the films? Oh, well. Can't wait for Fridays blu upgrades (oops, I mean "new announcments").

I wish Criterion would stop dropping hints on Facebook. I remember when they used to reply to emails but now the only thing with a chance of a reply is a post on freaking face books.

Twitter is OK but what ever happened to using one's own web site? (or at least how about throwing blu-ray.com an exclusive "bone" ).

Last month was all new spines so it probably means a few upgrades Friday.

With that said, looks to be a L'Avventura upgrade, which is fine by me.

Newsletter coming today as well. Prob not a clue one.
Vitti, to me, is captivating on screen. Like you said, she has great presence. She made Red Desert fascinating to me.

As for the newsletter, I got it and it doesn't have any hints.

It doesn't even have any news. A newsletter without news. I expected no clue as they wait for that one, and since it's Tuesday (a release day), I expected just a newsletter talking about the releases of the day, but they didn't even have that.

I just meant in general, but sure, that would be an example.

As for this weeks announcements, I would definitely like some upgrades, but would also appreciate something totally unexpected. I like surprises.

If anything, I hope Friday they announce The Phantom Carriage and Cruel Story of Youth, which they thrown up on Hulu. They deserve better (and keeping up with the Bergman crap today, he loves his Victor Sjöström, who is Swedish, so what a surprise that is). Hope they have The Wind as well.

I would love for The Killing to be the only new title and all others being upgrades which include The Passion of Joan of Arc, Picnic at Hanging Rock, Beauty and the Beast and most importantly The Lady Vanishes. I know I am dreaming on those titles being upgraded, but I will continue to dream until they come

I (nor alot of people) don't want the only new title to be that. The Music Room better be on Friday's announcements. Kubrick can wait for finally a chance for Satyajit Ray to be released in the U.S. for once.

I'm calling this (I'll highlight the ones I want of course):

The Music Room/Jalsaghar
Carlos
The Killing
Beauty and the Beast upgrade
L'avventura upgrade

and another upgrade, but hope for The Phantom Carriage.

I will throw a fit up in this b**** if it is. Being one of India's most known films and directors. The photo they teased us with was an upclose photo, so it being "grainy" was because it was a zoom in.

And the Apu trilogy better be on blu too.

It looks like L'AVVENTURA is a definite blu upgrade which will be nice. My buddy pointed me to their facebook page which has snippets of the film all over the main page. So I will go on the record and predict that as a release...

Well, it's called an opinion. Godard didn't like making coherent films with scripts, either, but that doesn't mean that having a script is a bad idea. Just another opinion.

If you read the past 2 pages of all things Bergman, that is where my little nugget of fun came from. Where did your Godard opinion come from? Does it have anything to do with me liking him? Hmmm.... a little serious are we?

Just an FYI...if anyone wants to test the waters with "White Material" (like me)...if your NetFlix DVD/BD queue is a "Long Wait", it became streamable today.
