I don't know, maybe I need to give him another look but Altman never really did a lot for me. He struck me as kind of the anti-Oz - he didn't want you to pay attention to anything but the man behind the curtain.

Though to be fair, anybody who can turn Elliott Gould into a surprisingly passable Philip Marlowe can't be all bad.

Happy that 3 Women is coming out, bummed that Wild Strawberries isn't. Oh well, there's always October!

Quite disappointing month in my opinion. Mostly interested in The Phantom Carriage.

Not as amazing as August but better not bad at all . It is GREAT to finally see a Carlos release . That definitely my most anticipated title of the batch. 3 Women and The Phantom Carriage are great additions. Les Cousins and Le Beau Serge are interesting choices and I will happily welcome more Chabrol in the future. Have never seen My Life as a Dog and not really all that interested but will reserve my judgement until some reviews start to appear. Probably not related to the films themselves but I am LOVING the cover art of The Phantom Carriage , the silhouette of the carriage is beautiful and the color choices will definitely look striking in the shelf.

Didn't realize the KTL score was on The Phantom Carriage. Nice!

My thoughts exactly. Great news that Criterion will be including the KTL score for The Phantom Carriage. 3 Women is an interesting film and would look great in HD.

I am happy for the Chabrol fans.

Absolutely, by far the worst of the bunch in my opinion , which is sad considering it is actually my most anticipated title of the September line-up . The Phantom Carriage cover is a total winner, thought .

Love the cover and I LOVE the font used! Retro simple cool. Wasn't that image used for one of the films posters I swear I've seen it before.
