Hmm, upon closer inspection I think you're right and my mental image of the 1957 Henry Fonda was inaccurate.

It's been three or four years since I've seen the movie, but I'll take a guess... the Brooklyn Dodgers and the St. Louis Cardinals?

Some great titles, but I am a bit disappointed that the THREE COLORS trilogy doesn't include all the shorts on the Miramax DVD set, or the commentaries by Annette Insdorf. They were a bit dry, but very informative. I'm so used to being able to dump my DVDs when I buy a Blu, a shame I'll have to hold onto the old DVDs.

I was also hoping for the long-promised THE GAME, but since it wasn't set for November, I have to assume it will be in December to capitalize on Fincher's new film of THE GIRL WITH THE DRAGON TATTOO opening at Christmas. I remember they timed MONSOON WEDDING to coincide with the theatrical release of Mira Nair's AMELIA.

Has there been some suggestion that Criterion is doing THE UMBRELLAS OF CHERBOURG? That'd be amazing on Blu!!!!

Yes, they indeed released more titles last November. I'm hoping that December will be bigger this year. Last year it was only two titles.

Was thinking the same, but then I haven't heard/seen the Three Colors commentary & extras in ages (some probably never). I'll check out the DVD extras, and then my DVDs are going up for sale on Amazon. Can't keep everything... where would ya put it?

UNREAL month.
Criterion is just dominating blu-ray as far as having the strongest overall catalog, and it doesn't look like that will ever change imo.
They have really upped their game to a level even I didn't anticipate them reaching this soon, if ever.
All Hail The Criterion Collection!!--Blu-ray King of the World!
my wallet weeps for your sweet film nectar.

12 ANGRY MEN is returning to Criterion. I had the Criterion Laserdisc back in the early 90's.

Long time no post.

I love remembering I have a $50 criterion.com gift card from December of 2010 that I still haven't used. Pre-ordered the Three Colors with it.

FYI you can get Battle of Algiers today for $24.99!!! No need to wait.

Phantom Carriage is also $19.99 to pre-order at B&N.

They have a sale today for 50% off their top 100 sellers, those are the only two criterion blu-rays that are in it (as far as I can tell).

Has anyone had a sound fault with Blow Out ? I put it on to watch last night, and the movie itself had no sound (pretty ironic considering the movie!). Everything else has sound, just not the movie. Can anyone shed some light on this? I have emailed Criterion but have got nothing in return so far.

I would have loved a blu-ray of The Jungle Book. I still have my VHS copy from when I was a kid.
