Let's leave that debate where it is...... no need to state something is a train wreck, and then attempt to discuss it here pretending like the same thing wouldn't happen here.

Didn't Lar von Trier try to make that case a few weeks ago?

I just got this month's Newsletter seconds ago and it came with this hint...

I am probably just wishing and dreaming on this one but could it be Almodovar's Hable con Ella (Talk to Her) ?

EDIT: Just saw rebelmswar's link and it seems like another more direct possibility but, to be honest, at this point all I want is something Almodovar from Criterion. He is one of my favorite directors.

Blood & Sand?

Maybe, but I think Almodovar's films fit perfectly into something Criterion would want to get hold on. Again, I am just begging for some of his films to make it to the CC . Also, Hable con Ella received a pretty good critical reception and is a lot more recent so it could not be all that hard to upgrade.

I'd love to have Almodovar on Blu ray and from Criterion. Hope it is true. Could be his film Matador also. Been trying to think of films not necessarily about bullfighting. Blood & Sand actually does not seem like something Criterion would release.

Some people are silly like that. I'm not selling my Pierrot le Fou.

Totally out of left field, and highly unlikely, but wouldn't The Bobo be awesome? That movie is so much fun! I'm biased towards Sellers though.

I ordered The Seventh Seal today for my birthday, because me mam and da gave me some cash. I'll be the Amazon parcel packer is going to be thrown for a loop with this order:

The Seventh Seal
Muppets Take Manhattan
How To Train Your Dragon
Some Like it Hot

I have been on the fence about getting The Seventh Seal. Don't get me wrong, I WANT it but have not come around to getting it for some reason, this must change in the next couple of month thought. Also, congrats on your birthday !

Thanks! I initially had no interest in Bergman, but my friend quickly cured me of that! This is one of the few CC BDs I haven't blind bough actually. My mom claims she watched an English dub in high school and keeps thinking that there is one floating around. She's not a fan of subs.

Don't let the fact that Persona isn't available in the Criterion Collection (nor available on Blu-Ray) deter you from checking it out, if you haven't. I think it is the most intimate Bergman film that I have seen. Its visual style is intriguing, both in its visual compositions and in the respect that the film uses words/dialogue to create images in the imagination of the viewer.

Sitting here racking my brain and I feel Bullworth may be worth a shout.

Would jive with the suit that the bull is wearing and we all know politicians are full of bull.

thanks to an entirely random DeepDiscount $10 off code emailed to me today, i was able to get the killing for $13.99 shipped! I am beyond happy!

I watched The Naked Kiss last night and will be on Shock Corridor tonight. I can say, TNK was awesome and I can't wait to watch it again soon... the performances by the entire cast were outstanding!

Good call. I was trying to think of something not directly related to Bull Fighting or Spain and Mexico. Bull is wearing a tie and shirt also.

I think there is a possibility this is actually about Hable con Ella if we look at this pic...

She can be seen wearing an outfit quite similar to that one of the bull in the hint. I can only hope .

That's the first thing that came to my mind when I saw the picture. I would love it, too. And Todo sobre mi madre and Carne Trémula too, please. (ok, now I'm asking way too much)
