Are all of his films this loosely structured? Which one should I check out next?
I'm not massively knowledgable about Godard, but Breathless is a must watch, then I'd check out Band A Part.

After Weekend his style changed from the new wave experimental cool into more of a social critique. Those are the only 3 of his films I have seen.

Found a relatively cheap used copy of Cronos yesterday - hoping I enjoy it. I loved Pan's Labyrinth but haven't seen anything else of del Toro's yet.

Yeah, I need to see Breathless. It's seems to always be the main movie mentioned when I hear people talk about Godard. It's like The Seventh Seal (I haven't seen this either ) is usually the first movie mentioned when people talk about Bergman. The Magician is the first and only movie I've seen by him so far.

My favorite of Godard's is Vivre Sa Vie. Both that and the one you mentioned seeing (Pierrot Le Fou), to me, are actually two of his most linear, coherent films.

But if you haven't yet seen Breathless, by all means start with that one. There's a reason it is always the first one mentioned, as it is not only a perfect representation of most of his style but the most groundbreaking.

The only 1960s Godard films I've been disappointed by have been A Married Woman (Une Femme Mariee) and Masculin Femenin. The rest I have enjoyed for the most part.

What's the deal with Benjamin Button? I'm a total Citerion noob, but I've noticed that most CC blus come in a clear case, while Benjamin Button comes in a standard blu case as far as I can tell. Any particular reason why that is?

It's Criterion in name only really.... It's a Paramount release, and they apparently wanted the "normal" case so people wouldn't confuse it with a DVD perhaps...

Or so they could put that million-dollar slipcover on it that all the kids just rave about.

Either way, it's just a case..... Buy it if you like it, but there is no replacement case for it although people have been known to order a blank from Criterion and custom print cover-art..... too much effort for no reason if you ask me though.

I had friends there.... They saw the camera guys walking around, and didn't know who was with them.

They said the band playing was "Cut Copy" whom I've never heard of.... but that doesn't surprise me

Off-topic, but we talked about it before, the Lou Reed/Metallica album, Lulu (based on the plays by Frank Wedekind, who some would know, is the basis of the Pandora's Box film). Anyways, they released a little sample, and I'm not basing opinions of it right now on that, but I thought I put the link here because of the funny comments. So many dislikes. I guess Metallica fans, and by the reactions "Who the F is Lou Reed", they don't know who Lou Reed is. Should sell very well (atleast the hate from 30 seconds will mean it will be an awesome album):
