![]() I like 1.66:1 as well, it's a nice pillar box that is less noticable than some letterboxes. |

Arkadin, I did not know Arrow released City Lights. I have the Park Circus UK. I thought that was the only one?

No worries, let us know what you think of it. IMO, compared to the 2 Criterion releases, the Park Circus' are very good, but not quite as good. But the bottom line is that they are in circulation and are the best on the market for now until Criterion gets moving.

Other than the big 50% off Facebook sales..... when was the last time Criterion's site had a Promo-Code??? Didn't they use to have 5-10% codes quite often???
I'm close to another $50 GC, and I want to make another order!!! (Close, being only $120 or so ![]() |

It just sounds like you said it because it was made in the 1930s. If it wasn't made then, would it be useless? Some of the blu-ray forum might not of known who Vigo was before Criterion showed them, but L'Atalante has been praised as one of the best films of all time. So just "a mark on early film history" caught me off guard. Opinion is yours.

True. You make a good point. But you can't deny that both elongated versions would be a tremendous event.

I think it would be interesting to watch but the extra footage might not make the films any better. They are perfect the way they are. Though I definitely wouldn't mind watching them to find out.
