Yes, they have.
You have to mail your faulty disc to Jon Mulvaney at Criterion with your return postal address.
You should probably email him directly to confirm these details.
I've personally already mailed my White and Carlos discs, so now I'm waiting for the return discs. Since they haven't said Carlos is ready, I'm not sure if they just send back White by itself.

In Carlos, the left surround channel is severely muted in part 3 on disc 2.
Criterion have admitted (via individual emails) that there is a problem and they will offer an exchange when the replacement discs become available.
I've not yet heard that the disc is available, however Jon Mulvaney told me I could send back both White and Carlos and they would mail back to me the replacements as they became available.

I agree, but disagree, lol, if that's possible. The second half of the film has a different type of dramatic tension, but it plays differently once we know that Norman is mother. I saw the film at such a young age, I feel like I always knew that, so whenever I watch it, I'm not seeing Norman as Norman — i.e., cleaning up the murder to protect his "Mother". Knowing he's the one responsible changes the tension of the second half, I think, than seeing it when you don't know. I wish I could go back and watch it again with fresh eyes and not know the twist — I can only imagine how audiences reacted to that in 1960.

As much as I love the first half — and yeah, the driving scenes are among the best — my personal favorite scene is between Arbogast and Norman when he's checking the ledger, etc. I love the tension in that scene more than anything else in the film, and when Perkins stutters, that's the movie for me.

Thanks. Missed my chance. Really hate the digipak, but if I can't switch all of them over to the replacement case, then I shan't bother at all. Yeah, I'm weird that way.

I have always said that the best part about having amnesia would be the ability to see Psycho again for the first time.

I have to say I am impressed with Criterion's customer service. I ordered Thin Red Line on Blu-Ray and instead got the Criterion of House on DVD. Emailed them and within ten minutes got a response from them saying they will ship out Thin Red Line the next day (must have been sent overnight because I am getting it tomorrow and it was sent today) and told me to keep House. I actually said in the email I would send it back as long as I did not have to pay shipping so to be able to keep it is pretty sweet. Gotta say even with the mistake they definitely resolved the issue in an excellent manner .

I don't have a surround sound setup. Is the audio still affected if you're using a simple 2 channel television? Forgive me if that is a noobish question.

I think it would be since that sound from the surround data stream is being mixed with the others to create that stereo signal you hear.

Thanks. I guess I'll wait until I hear further on the replacement disc before I do anything.

Since it's info is "Wacky Basketball" this one seems likely. Either that or "Space Jam"
